**Item #:** SCP-8126
**Object Class:** Euclid
**Special Containment Procedures:**
SCP-8126 is to be contained in a reinforced lead-lined cell, measuring 6 x 6 x 6 meters. This containment chamber must be fitted with continuous UV lighting systems designed to disorient and deter SCP-8126’s movements. These UV lights must be kept operational at all times, with backup power generators on constant standby to ensure uninterrupted function.
A rotation of at least four armed guards is stationed outside SCP-8126’s containment unit, each equipped with ultraviolet flashlights and non-lethal suppression tools. Only personnel with Level 3 clearance or higher are authorized to enter or interact with SCP-8126, and a minimum of two (2) trained personnel must be present within the containment cell to counter SCP-8126’s anomalous psychological effects. In the event one of the personnel becomes incapacitated, the other must reawaken them within forty-five (45) seconds to prevent complete synaptic shutdown from prolonged exposure.
In the event of a power failure or containment breach, Site personnel are to immediately enact Protocol V-8126. SCP-8126 should be temporarily relocated to the nearest operational containment site. SCP-8126 must remain blindfolded during this transfer, with escorts utilizing portable strobe lights to prevent the entity’s activation of anomalous abilities. Upon power restoration, SCP-8126 should be returned to its original containment unit, where it is to remain under the influence of intense strobe lighting for seventy-two (72) hours to reduce mobility and suppress its cognitive abilities.
Site-wide ultraviolet scanners have been installed to locate SCP-8126 in case of escape. Personnel affected by SCP-8126’s abilities during a containment breach are to be temporarily stripped of rank and transported to a secure isolation chamber. Here, they will undergo a seventy-two (72) hour quarantine period, during which psychological evaluation will assess the residual influence of SCP-8126. Reinstatement to active duty and clearance restoration will only be authorized by the site’s psychological and security teams.
Description:
SCP-8126 is a tall, semi-translucent humanoid entity measuring approximately 2.26 meters (7’5”) in height, with a recorded weight of 133.7 lbs (60.7 kg). Its skin is pale and mottled, with a distinctly scarred and stretched appearance. The most defining characteristic of SCP-8126 is its face, which appears to be devoid of standard human features. Instead, where the eyes, nose, and mouth would normally appear, SCP-8126 displays tightly sewn stitches of vivid scarlet thread, preventing any facial expressions or vocal articulation.
Despite its lack of a visible mouth, SCP-8126 emits a low, distressed moaning sound every four (4) hours. This sound is muffled and appears to be a pained attempt to scream. Researchers theorize that SCP-8126 experiences some form of chronic pain or discomfort but is physically incapable of communicating its distress. The entity’s elongated arms, which reach well past its knees, are significantly disproportionate and contribute to its disturbing appearance.
SCP-8126’s anomalous properties activate when within proximity to a human subject. It induces a state of profound sleep paralysis, accompanied by intense visual and auditory hallucinations. Victims report seeing SCP-8126 approach them in this immobilized state, often recounting sensations of extreme pressure or mutilation that seem terrifyingly real. Physical manifestations of these hallucinations have occasionally become permanent, including amputation or severe bruising, despite no apparent physical interaction with SCP-8126.
Addendum: Discovery and Containment History
SCP-8126 was brought to the Foundation’s attention following a string of incidents involving severe sleep paralysis in a small rural community. Reports initially emerged from local hospitals, where victims arrived claiming lost limbs or extreme physical injuries sustained during sleep. The most notable case involved a woman (referred to as [REDACTED] in Foundation records) who experienced an episode of sleep paralysis in which she claimed SCP-8126 severed her arm. Upon waking, she discovered her arm was missing, with no indication of trauma that could explain its removal.
Foundation agents embedded within local law enforcement discovered additional cases involving similar reports of sleep paralysis accompanied by apparent self-mutilation or spontaneous injury. Further investigation led Mobile Task Force Eta-9 (“Dreamcatchers”) to a remote residence where SCP-8126 was ultimately located in a child’s bedroom, standing motionless beside the bed. Upon attempted containment, SCP-8126 became hostile, resulting in a struggle that claimed the lives of 23 Foundation operatives due to psychological incapacitation and anomalous effects before successful containment was achieved.
Incident Report - Initial Containment Breach
Upon containment, SCP-8126 attempted an immediate breach during transport to Site-██. Multiple MTF members were subject to paralysis and psychological trauma, necessitating the development of the current containment procedures involving ultraviolet lighting and strobe light deterrents. SCP-8126’s effects have since been classified as cognitohazardous, with strict containment measures enforced to prevent recurrence of similar incidents. Further research into SCP-8126’s origins and anomalous properties is ongoing, though all efforts to communicate with or alleviate SCP-8126’s apparent suffering have failed.
SCP-8126 remains under continuous surveillance, and its anomalous properties are documented as one of the Foundation’s most severe sleep-based cognitohazards.
SCP-8126 Backstory and Initial Capture
Background:
Before SCP-8126 came to the attention of the Foundation, legends of a “Nightbound Specter” circulated among local folklore in a remote village in Eastern Europe. Villagers reported seeing a shadowy, tall figure lurking at the edge of forests and fields at night, though it vanished before anyone could confront it. Sightings were rare, but those who encountered the figure experienced terrifying bouts of sleep paralysis, nightmares, and sometimes, mysterious injuries.
Rumors of the specter’s origin varied, but some locals believed SCP-8126 was once a human condemned for heinous crimes, cursed by an ancient, occult ritual to suffer eternal silence and agony. Others believed it was a spirit of vengeance, stitched and disfigured as punishment for trying to escape from the underworld. Whatever the truth, SCP-8126 gradually grew more aggressive, particularly around homes with children. This escalation caught the attention of the Foundation when a series of incidents resulted in unexplained amputations, paralysis, and, in one case, a complete psychological breakdown of a mother who had lost her child after an encounter with the entity.
Incident Report - Discovery and Attempted Initial Capture
When the Foundation first became aware of SCP-8126, reports had begun accumulating around a particular household where an 8-year-old boy experienced vivid hallucinations and night terrors that left physical wounds. A local investigator embedded within law enforcement alerted the Foundation after witnessing the boy lose the use of his arm overnight. The child’s family described hearing muffled groans in the night and finding strange, scarlet thread on the floor by the boy’s bed. Given the potential for unexplainable physical harm, the Foundation dispatched Mobile Task Force Eta-9 (“Dreamcatchers”), trained specifically for entities with cognitohazardous and dream-based effects.
Encounter and Struggle with SCP-8126
MTF Eta-9 arrived at the residence around 2:30 AM. Using infrared and ultraviolet scanning equipment, they identified SCP-8126 standing silently in the child’s room, slightly transparent but clearly humanoid. It appeared motionless, as though watching the boy. The MTF team noted its grotesque form: elongated arms and sewn facial features, faintly illuminated under their equipment.
Upon attempting to restrain SCP-8126 with standard containment procedures, the entity emitted a low, almost sorrowful groan. This triggered its anomalous abilities, causing several MTF members to experience intense disorientation and paralysis. Despite maintaining distance, two members reported feeling as if SCP-8126 was “looming over them” in their paralyzed state, unable to shake the image of the scarlet-threaded face staring down at them. SCP-8126’s mere presence instilled a deep sense of dread and helplessness.
Attempts to subdue SCP-8126 escalated, as the entity moved with surprising speed, using its elongated arms to disable two more MTF operatives by forcing them into a semi-conscious, immobile state. Those affected found themselves trapped in a nightmarish vision where SCP-8126 seemed to stitch their mouths closed, echoing its own ghastly appearance. This horrific experience left psychological scars on those who survived, and many required extended psychiatric care afterward.
Despite their struggles, MTF Eta-9 managed to activate emergency strobe lights, temporarily disorienting SCP-8126 and forcing it to retreat into the corner of the room. Recognizing the strobe lights as an effective countermeasure, additional lights were quickly deployed, effectively preventing the entity from further activating its anomalous effects. MTF operatives employed a blindfold to cover SCP-8126’s face and maneuvered it into a mobile containment unit.
Containment Achieved
The initial struggle with SCP-8126 claimed 23 casualties, marking it as one of the Foundation’s most challenging initial encounters with an anomalous entity of this nature. SCP-8126 was transferred to Site-██ under strict containment protocols, and ultraviolet lighting systems were introduced to prevent further incidents. Personnel involved in the containment operation remain under psychological observation, as residual effects of SCP-8126’s influence continue to haunt them, particularly in dreams.
Further investigation into SCP-8126’s origins remains inconclusive, though Foundation researchers hypothesize that SCP-8126’s suffering and sewn features may relate to an ancient punishment or ritual. Testing to communicate with SCP-8126 has been halted due to the entity’s unpredictable behavior, but Foundation efforts to understand its anomalous effects and mitigate the psychological toll on containment staff continue.

**Item #:** SCP-8126
**Object Class:** Euclid
**Special Containment Procedures:** SCP-8126 is a Euclid-class object that must be contained in a standardized lead cell and monitored with constant ultraviolet lights. Multiple armed guards must be posted outside SCP-8126's containment unit, and in the event of an electrical outage, SCP-8126 must be transported to the next available site as quickly as possible. Once the power is re-established SCP-8126 is to be blindfolded and taken through the site back to its Containment unit, once SCP-8126 is back in its containment unit it must be under constant strobe-lights for 72 hours.
No less than two (2) members should be inside of SCP-8126's containment unit to combat SCP-8126's anomalous effects. In case of an anomalous event in which SCP-8126's anomalous ability collapses one of the members inside of SCP-8126's containment unit, the other must shake the member until they are conscious again within 45 seconds.
No personnel below Level 3 Security Clearance are allowed inside of SCP-8126's containment unit. In case of a Containment Breach SCP-8126 is to be located with ultraviolet scanners throughout the site, when located SCP-8126 is to be subdued and brought back to the containment unit. any site personnel affected by SCP-8126's anomalous abilities are to be temporarily surrendered of their rank and security clearance, and to be transported to another site to be put under a seventy-two (72) hour quarantine and psychological evaluation, If deemed fit for return to duty by psych staff, rank and security clearance may be restored when quarantine expires.
**Description:** SCP-8126 is a tall, and gray humanoid figure devoid of facial features, SCP-8126's exact height is 7 foot five inches (7'5) and SCP-8126 is exactly one-hundred thirty-three pounds and seven ounces (133.7 lb) SCP-8126 is an almost fully transparent entity and is slightly disfigured, meaning that SCP-8126's arms are abnormally long. SCP-8126's facial features are stitched up with scarlett thread. Every 4 hours SCP-8126 makes a pained moan as if the entity is trying to scream in pain but cant since his mouth is sewed shut.
**Origin:** SCP-8126 was discovered after numerous reports of civilians experiencing sleep paralysis, one case happened after a civilian named **[REDACTED]** was experiencing sleep paralysis when the entity cut off her arm, when she woke up she realized that her arm was missing. She immediately went to the hospital and explained what happened, after local police were notified the woman was taken to a psych ward and has been there ever since. The SCP Foundation was notified of this occurrence and the investigation started into SCP-8126 after 3 weeks of investigating sleep paralysis reports the SCP foundations MTF tracked down SCP-8126 to a child's bedroom and was contained after a big struggle which ended in 23 casualties.
