Overview
The following document is an overview of the behavior of a former member of staff, gee0765, and presents a pattern of hostility, antagonism and inappropriate behavior while staff. This document was created by the Disciplinary team for transparency, and to explain the decision made.
The Disciplinary Team believes the body of evidence presented below is sufficient grounds for a permanent ban from the SCP Wiki and affiliated spaces.
Summary of Reasons and Behavior
What the Issue Is and Why Now?
On October 26th, 2024, gee0765 (herein ‘Gee’), was kicked from the 19cord server for antagonistic behavior. At this time, Disciplinary noted that prior actionable behavior had not been followed through on, and that due to a combination of leveraging their role on Wiki Staff and Discord moderation, and mismanaged censure and disciplinary investigations that resulted in no action, their pattern of behavior had not been addressed in a timely fashion.
Once this was noted by the team, it was decided to fully review and address Gee’s patterns of behavior, including toeing the line, antagonistic and hostile comments, and overall conduct both as a member of staff, and as a user. As a part of this effort, it was important to the team that all previous evidence be collated into a single location, to summarize the scope and consistency of said pattern. The following document is such an attempt.
Addressing Previous Disciplinary Actions and the Failings Therein
Following the censure thread that was posted in September 2023, the Disciplinary staff team began efforts to restructure the evidence listed, to better highlight the patterns of behavior that were believed to be problematic.
Due to external factors, minimal progress was made. In addition to the lack of internal progress, Disciplinary did not publicly address the issue, nor were any updates given regarding the status of said Disciplinary review. Internally, the fact that this process had stopped was noted in December 2023, March 2024, April 2024, and May 2024. Despite these notifications and attempts to restart discussion, no further progress was made. As a result, Gee’s continued behavior was not corrected during this time.
We acknowledge that the Disciplinary team failed to promptly act upon the reports, complaints and information provided; this discussion, therefore, will attempt to capture the totality of the pattern of behavior, presenting the overall case we are making.

The following is presented as a timeline of Gee’s overall history on staff, and relevant disciplinary or AHT records as levied.
August 31st, 2019 - Gee Joins Forum Critique Team and Becomes a Member of Junior Staff
March 3rd, 2020 - Gee is Promoted from Junior Staff to OpStaff
June 17th, 2020 - Gee is Promoted from OpStaff to Moderator (Not Yet Restructured)
June 6th, 2021 - 2021 Disciplinary Censure Thread Posted
Summary:
The Disciplinary team has received a complaint from a site user concerning inappropriate behavior in an offsite community by a member of staff. This user has noted that on multiple occasions across a considerable amount of time Gee0765 has unfairly and inappropriately targeted them with insulting language, derisive comments, and outright rude statements. This complaint was substantiated by screenshots of said behavior provided by the user as well as through subsequent investigation conducted by members of the Disciplinary team.
For over a year, Gee has engaged in multiple instances of flagrant violations of Rule 0 which is conduct utterly unbecoming a member of staff. This behavior has not been limited to attacks on this user, as Gee has had to be reprimanded and warned multiple times for using abusive and insulting language while interacting with other members of staff. A recent example of this behavior follows:

While we would have preferred this to remain an internal matter, the fact that they have continued this abusive and inappropriate behavior outside of staff channels cannot be ignored. Utilizing a public venue to deride and insult a member of the site community in such a way is absolutely unacceptable.
After extensive deliberation, the Disciplinary team has decided to recommend that Gee be put up for censure.
Conclusion: Censure was passed and enacted.

September 5th, 2023 - Initial 2023 Disciplinary Complaint Received
September 8th, 2023 - AHT Formal Warning
The Anti-Harassment Team was alerted to the behavior of PlaguePJP and gee0765 on their Twitter and Discord, and began an investigation into their activities. We were approached by a number of non-staff and staff users independently requesting us to look into the users' behaviors, and after investigating their recent actions, have determined that a warning is necessary to ensure the users do not repeat the specified behavior, which could violate the wiki's Harassment policies.
A formal warning has therefore been issued to both users.
Outcome: Gee changed their nickname in 19cord to ‘punished gee’ in reaction to said warning.
September 19th, 2023 - 2023 Censure Thread Posted
Summary:
It has also come to disciplinary's attention that gee has failed to uphold his responsibilities as captain of the Discord Team. Evidence has shown gee is generally unavailable to accept duties, often leaving those duties to be picked up by the other captains of Discord, even when reminded frequently that his help is needed. This routine of gee saying they will increase their workload and then not doing so has become a detriment to the team and it's tasks. Other members of the Discord Team have also expressed hesitation when it comes to proposing changes to the way 19cord is run due to his general hostility and lack of decorum. For these reasons, not only is gee believed to be too impulsive and hostile to be a healthy member of SCP staff, it is also apparent that he is not deserving of an authoritative position on staff.
Furthermore, numerous complaints have been submitted to the disciplinary committee relating to gee's conduct over the past 2 years. While these transgressions have not been extreme enough to warrant demotion and were often determined to be non-rule breaking as stand-alone events, the lack of improvement and repeated line toeing nature of gee's actions has emphasized the necessity of this thread and discussion. Since the time of gee's last censure, the following has been noted in gee's behavior.
- Overly sarcastic and/or passive aggressive behavior
- Borderline hostile and aggressive statements
- Borderline offensive jokes
- Purposefully inflammatory actions
All of the above is in line with the reasons for gee's previous censure.
Conclusion: No Action taken, due to lack of presented evidence of listed behavior.
October 12th, 2024 - Gee Retires from Staff

Note: While Gee’s retirement was of their own accord, their retirement was directly driven by a lack of proper follow-through within the staff server discussions, as well as in the role of 19cord moderation.
Evidence
The following section is a collection of various messages sent by Gee over the years since joining the site. While there are varying levels of vulgarity, severity, and antagonism, some of which observers may feel is fine (or even agree) individually or not, the overall pattern of behavior has been continuing for years and shows a significant difference in typical conduct as opposed to what is expected among community members, let alone staff.
In addition, the evidence is presented with the context that Gee was not only aware of internal disciplinary and staff processes, but used said knowledge to their advantage. Due to this insight, they were able to say the statements below with perceived impunity. Due to the fact that each message, by itself. is not enough evidence to result in disciplinary action, we believe this represents an intentional and continued pattern of toeing the line. This pattern of line-toeing was factored into how Disciplinary staff reached the decision to move forward with the disciplinary action.

Discord Moderation will be enacting its own Moderation actions regarding Gee0765, following a separate, independent discussion.
Edit (11/7/24): We have removed the link to the piracy comment, as it was unclear initially why it was included. Discussions about digital piracy violate the Discord Terms of Service and can put the server at a whole as a risk of removal by the company. As a a Discord moderator, Gee was aware of this but as this was a relatively minor infraction and only included to show the pattern of behavior, we have elected to remove it entirely.
