Item #: SCP-8064
Object Class: Keter

Image Of Anomaly by Cpt.██████
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-8064 is to be contained in a reinforced containment chamber at Site-██. Access to SCP-8064 requires Level 4 clearance and written approval from at least two Level 3 researchers. The containment chamber must be equipped with a security system that includes a minimum of three armed guards at all times. Any personnel entering the chamber must wear psychological monitoring devices to track changes in behavior and thought patterns.
In the event of a containment breach, Mobile Task Force Epsilon-6 ("Village Idiots") is to be deployed to recapture SCP-8064 and subdue any affected personnel. Use of non-lethal means is encouraged, but lethal force is authorized if personnel display violent tendencies in defense of SCP-8064.
Description:
SCP-8064 appears as an ordinary iron bucket, approximately 30 cm in height and 25 cm in diameter. The bucket exhibits no anomalous properties until a subject thinks of a specific liquid to fill it with. Once a thought of a liquid is concentrated upon, SCP-8064 will fill itself with that liquid, which will remain until the subject dies or a different liquid is mentally envisioned.
Subjects who interact with SCP-8064 report an intense compulsion to protect the bucket, describing feelings of attachment and an overwhelming desire to keep it safe at all costs. This compulsion escalates over time, leading to increasingly violent behavior towards others who may threaten the bucket. Notably, subjects have been observed to utilize extreme measures, including lethal force, to defend SCP-8064.
SCP-8064 was discovered in 2001 at a residence in [REDACTED], where it is believed that the previous owner, Mr. ███████, killed his wife and daughter before being terminated by Epsilon-6 during a containment operation. Reports from witnesses suggest that Mr. ███████ exhibited erratic behavior and paranoia regarding the bucket prior to the incident.
Subjects who have interacted with SCP-8064 may experience auditory hallucinations, often described as a "calling" from the bucket. This phenomenon reinforces their compulsive attachment and may lead to attempts to break SCP-8064 out of containment.
**Addendum 8064-A: Testing Logs
Test 8064-01: Subject D-6748**
Liquid Thought of: Water
Result: SCP-8064 filled with clear water. Subject reported feeling an immediate sense of calm and connection to the bucket. Following this, D-1234 attempted to barricade himself in the containment chamber, displaying extreme agitation when personnel approached.
Test 8064-02: Subject D-8638
Liquid Thought of: Blood
Result: SCP-8064 filled with a thick, red liquid. Subject immediately became aggressive, attempting to harm personnel who came near. Subject had to be restrained and administered Class-A amnestic.
Incident 8064-B:
On ██/██/20██, a containment breach occurred when a guard in the vicinity of SCP-8064 became affected by its anomalous properties. The guard attempted to free SCP-8064, resulting in the deaths of two other personnel before Mobile Task Force Epsilon-6 intervened. The affected guard was terminated on-site.
Note: Further study is required to understand the psychological effects of SCP-8064 on affected individuals. Research into possible containment enhancements is ongoing.

Interview Log 8064-01
Interviewed: D-8638
Interviewer: Dr. ██████

Location: Site-██, SCP-8064 containment chamber
<Begin Log>
Dr. ██████: Good afternoon, D-8638. How are you feeling today?
D-8638: (fidgeting nervously) I… I don’t know. I keep thinking about that bucket.
Dr. ██████: I understand. Let’s talk about SCP-8064. Can you describe what it was like when you first interacted with it?
D-8638: (eyes darting towards the bucket) It was like… it was calling to me. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I just had to touch it.
Dr. ██████: What happened when you did touch it?
D-8638: (leaning forward, almost whispering) I thought of water. Then it just… filled up. It was like magic. I felt this rush, like it was connecting to me.
Dr. ██████: Did you feel any urges or impulses after that?
D-8638: (nervous laughter) Yeah, I wanted to keep it safe. I felt like if anyone got too close, I’d… I’d have to stop them.
Dr. ██████: Stop them how?
D-8638: (voice rising) I don’t know! I just felt this rage, like I’d do anything to protect it. It’s just a bucket, but it felt so important.
Dr. ██████: And what happened when personnel tried to intervene?
D-8638: I… I got aggressive. I didn’t want to hurt anyone, but it was like I couldn’t control myself. I just kept thinking, "This is mine. They can’t have it."
Dr. ██████: Did you hear anything from the bucket during this time?
D-8638: (pausing, looking conflicted) It… it spoke to me. Not in words, but like a feeling. Like it wanted me to pour something else into it. I was scared to let go of the water.
Dr. ██████: (taking notes) What liquid did you think of?
D-8638: Blood. I don’t know why. I just… it was all I could think about when I saw it full of water.
Dr. ██████: (narrowing his eyes) Did the thought of blood make you feel anything specific?
D-8638: (breathing heavily) It made me feel powerful. Like I could do anything. I just… wanted to protect it at all costs.
Dr. ██████: Thank you, D-8638. This has been very informative. We will conduct further tests regarding your experiences.
D-8638: (looking panicked) Wait, can I go back? I need to—
Dr. ██████: (interrupting) That's enough for today.

Closing Statement: D-8638 displayed significant psychological effects from exposure to SCP-8064, including violent impulses and auditory hallucinations. Further evaluation and monitoring are necessary to understand the extent of the bucket’s influence on affected individuals.
