Problem
Our current Anti-Harassment policy exists to prevent those who have engaged in harassing behavior from continuing to cause harm in SCP wiki spaces. But as it currently stands, this concept has a significant hole in its execution, which I consider prevents it from working as intended.
Under current policy, an AHT-banned user can continue to contribute to the wiki — thus still interacting with the community indirectly — long after the ban was enacted, through collabs that existed before the AHT ban was enacted.
Although it can be argued that this is the policy working as intended, since collab partners who did nothing wrong would otherwise be unjustly punished as well, this is at the expense of the victims of AHT-banned users who continue to see their harasser appear. I propose we further define the limits of collab posts so these two are more in balance.
Potential Solution:
The easiest way to prevent this would be a straight ban on all collabs with AHT banned users being posted. But for the sake of fairness to the folks who got themselves in these collabs without doing anything wrong themselves, a time limit to finish and post these kinds of collaborations post-ban seems like a reasonable solution. During a pre-discussion in staffcord, limits of 30 or 60 days post-ban were mentioned as options.
Additional Point:
During the discussion in staffcord Pedagon suggested not the date of the ban enactment as the limit of accepting new collabs, but the date of the report. He explained this thus:
While not a part of the original suggestion it might be important to discuss regardless
