Given that daveyoufool has been given a warning, their now responding to harsh critique with snide comments I believe warrants a 24 hour or a revocation as per standard escalation process.

Received this PM from daveyoufool:

Hey, saw that I've made a name for myself in the O5 forums again. Thought I'd take this opportunity to say: my bad! The "Norwegian food" thing was intended to be a light poking-fun thing (Kalinin's a good writer, but I feel like he takes the site waaaay too seriously), but now I can see why it might have been out of line. Sorry about that. :) If I need to apologize to Kalinin I will do that as well.

To back up what I said in Kalinin's thread, I'm not disciplinary, but recommend some kind of short ban given his previous history of shitposting and shitcritiquing (a decent number of posts of which have not been logged in his previous thread, but perhaps rightfully should have been).

While I know our current standards say a 24 hour ban is next, I feel like it's not noticeable enough. 24 is great for 'Hey, re-read the rules' but I feel like for actual infractions, we should be handing out weeklongs, to get thier notice.

That said, I would like a week long here. Can some other diciplinary way in?

Admittedly a tough choice for me. I don't have any quarrel with dave, and I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt here.

That said, this isn't the first time he's been O5ed for problematic posting, and also not the first time it was during a conversation involving Kalinin.

If we're going standard escalation, then I'll back the weeklong. I don't feel totally great about it, but the behavioral history stands.

People on the site should know that if there's a decent possibility of misconstrual, it's better to not make a "light poking-fun thing" post in the first place. Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus, and all that.
