It was brought to staff attention that Andyjr915 (account age 1 day, site membership 15 hours) posted the article: https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-8053, which contained multiple indicators of AI-generation.
Item #: SCP-8053
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: The Gas Car is to be housed in a normal containment cell of sufficient size to accommodate it. It must be situated away from bodies of water large enough to allow for potential immersion. Example: lakes/rivers.
Description: SCP-8053 is a vintage 1953 Studebaker Commander V8 automobile, characterized by its crimson red exterior. The headlight on the right side is currently non-functional. Remarkably, the vehicle's fuel intake appears to possess an inexhaustible capacity, resulting in perpetual operation without fuel depletion.
SCP-8053 was acquired by the Foundation following the demise of Joshua ██████. Bill ██████, Joshua's father, had gifted him the vehicle for his 17th birthday after procuring it from a dubious car dealer. During Joshua's inaugural drive to his grandmother's residence, SCP-8053 reportedly lost control while traversing a bridge, resulting in a fatal plunge. Subsequently, Bill ██████ blamed himself for the incident, regretting his decision to purchase the antiquated vehicle. Law enforcement later recovered Joshua's remains along with SCP-8053, which was linked to an additional 58 fatalities involving water-related incidents, despite exhibiting no apparent damage. Recognizing the anomaly's potential threat, the SCP Foundation assumed custody of the vehicle.
Experiment Log 8053-1:
Date: ██-██-████
Subject: Class D Personnel
Procedure: The Class D personnel was instructed to activate SCP-8053 and drive it in a controlled circle within a containment cell adjacent to a 30-foot deep body of water. The cell was an open field with a nearby lake.
Details: Upon starting SCP-8053, the vehicle exhibited significant mechanical vibrations. Shortly after activation, the Class D personnel reported that the vehicle's doors had automatically locked. Despite attempts to exit, the Class D was unable to escape as SCP-8053 proceeded to accelerate directly into the adjacent lake.
Following approximately 20 minutes submerged underwater, recovery teams successfully retrieved SCP-8053 from the lake. Remarkably, the body of the Class D personnel was conspicuously absent. Extensive search efforts of the lake yielded no trace of the Class D personnel's remains, except for the recovery of the Class D's keycard within the vehicle upon extraction.
Notes: While there are 2 content-based revisions on the article, none of them are substantial (one changes "standard" to "normal", and the other adds "Example: lakes/rivers." to the end of the Description).
A sandbox exists for this draft: https://scp-sandbox-3.wikidot.com/the-gas-car, which has a more significant revision history than the article. However, there appears to be a large shift in tone, simultaneously across the article, at Revision 8 of the sandbox, wherein every sentence in the ConProcs and Description were altered to be more complex in a manner similar to that of how AI does so.
Revision 12 appears to edit the first Experiment Log in the same manner, replacing words for more complex ones and overall changing the entire tone.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: The Gas Car can just be locked in any normal containment cell that is big enough for it, keep it away from bodies of water that are big enough for it to drive into.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an old 1953 Studebaker Commander V8 car. Its base is crimson red And its right headlight is broken. Its fill spout seems to be unlimited and the car never runs out of gas.
SCP-XXXX was retrieved by the Foundation after the death of Joshua ██████. Joshua's dad Bill ██████ gave his son the car for his 17th birthday. Bill had found the car at a shady car dealer. His first time driving the car he was going to his grandmas house, while driving over a bridge the car started driving uncontrollably until falling off the bridge. Bill ██████ blamed himself for being "cheap" and buying an old car. After police recovered the body of Joshua and the car the SCP foundation took the car as it also caused 58 other water related deaths while seemingly being fine after them.
Experiment Log XXXX-1:
Date: ██-██-████
Subject: Class D Personnel D/1
Procedure: D/1 was tasked with simply turning on the car and driving it in a circle in a cell next to a body of water. The cell was an open field with a decently sized lake next to it around 30 feet deep.
Details: After turning on the car it rumbled a lot. D/1 started banging on the windows yelling that the doors had locked. The car drove straight into the lake falling deep into the water. After around 20 minutes being submerged we were able to pull the car out but for some reason D/1 was missing. After searching the lake top to bottom we found nothing. It was odd at first but the only remains of D/1 that we could find was his keycard.
Experiment Log XXXX-2:
Date: ██-██-████
Subject: Class D Janitor DJ/2
Procedure: The DJ/2 was tasked with giving the car a refuel for further tests.
