Description: SCP-8036 is a collection of twelve cans of Dr. Wondertainment’s Shadow Paint Play-set™. Each can is capable of producing a unique color of viscous liquid that adheres to any solid surface and remains visible only in shaded areas. The anomalous effects of SCP-8036 manifest when these painted shadows are exposed to direct or indirect light. Upon exposure, the shadows animate, taking on three-dimensional forms that correspond to the shapes depicted in the shadows.
Further investigation has shown that SCP-8036-1 instances can be "erased" using the accompanying Shadow Eraser without any residual effects. Preliminary testing has indicated that SCP-8036-1 instances are capable of demonstrating both hostile and benign behaviors, influenced by the emotional state of the creator.
Addendum 3: Ethical Considerations:
Given the potential for SCP-8036 to create sentient entities, albeit temporarily, the Ethics Committee recommends careful monitoring of all interactions involving SCP-8036-1 instances. The psychological impact on D-class personnel responsible for creating and subsequently "erasing" these entities will also be studied further.
