User pastarasta1 does not match any existing user name left the following on SCP-2304, a soon to be gone coldpost, today:

"SCP-2304 has only one weakness "titanium"."

oh no

There are so many things wrong with that sentence but I will list two.

1. Why is titanium in quotes?

2. TITANIUM IS BEST METAL BRUH.

Of note is that he has a long history of similar shitty posts that were juuuuust barely acceptable enough to be unlogged. Chronic case.
Recommending official warning and ban on next offense.

Tossing this up for records-keeping. The user in question replied to a blanked-out post/staff notice of banning from a permabanned user, with:

I know this is none of my bees wax but what did he do?

I edited the post to indicate that people should private message staff if they have such questions. Respect for the departed, plus not opening cans of worms, etc.

My main concern here is the whole "I know I shouldn't do this, but [I'm going to do it anyway]" bit. That's behavior rarely associated with someone who knows how to act accordingly on the site.

So as usual, keep an eye on.

Tossing this up for records-keeping because I'm damn near sure that I've told this user not to tell people what to do (because almost every time they do so, they're inaccurate in some way).

I'm not going to suggest some course of disciplinary action (since I'm only junior staff and it may not even be necessary), but I will say that posting publicly like that isn't really a good way to respond to staff action, as Bryx summarized:

You can recognize whatever you've done, avoid it in the future, and not make a public event out of it. I didn't even know you'd been doing toe-ing the line stuff, and now everyone does.

To be completely fair, making that thread is totally something I would've done as the person I was when I first joined the site two years ago¹, so I can empathize in that manner; however, it's still a little along the 'not getting the message' lines as far as I'm concerned. I dunno - in any case, I'm just posting this for recordkeeping.

This honestly reeks of try-hardness. Can Summon SCPs and talk to them? Seriously?

And the spelling is pretty bad too

I left an open modpost telling them to get their own spelling straight if they're going to call out spelling, and noted that people aren't likely to take review posts with poor grammar/mechanics/spelling seriously anyway.

The rest of their recent posts are still inane and toeing the line of spammy, but nothing overly shitty as to merit that official warning yet, I feel.
