Noting that
Andaer (account age 439 days, site membership 427 days) recently posted the following concept thread: https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-16804125/seeking-greenlight-the-mime#post-6500646
Elevator Pitch: In the shadows of containment, SCP-xxxx, known as "The Mime," lurks with the ability to mimic emotions and appearances, wielding a deadly power to puppeteer its victims. As the Foundation races against time, SCP-xxxx's enigmatic presence poses a threat that must be contained at any cost.
Central Narrative: The SCP Foundation grapples with the containment of SCP-xxxx, an anomalous entity capable of mimicking emotions and appearances, posing a formidable challenge as it manipulates its victims with its puppeteer-like abilities. As containment breaches escalate, the Foundation must unravel the mystery behind SCP-xxxx's origins and abilities while preventing its spread to ensure the safety of humanity.
When a reviewer replied, the author at first did not open the collapsible containing the feedback and was confused, and then responded with text that appears to be wholly AI-generated (the response does not really answer the reviewer's questions, but does have some key words in common). Of note, the AI-generated portion does not match the text from the author's other forum comments.
Feedback:
The SCPs abilities are a bit vague. How does the SCP take control of people? who are it's victims? What do you mean by it being able to mimic emotions and appearances? You mention it breaching containment or it causing containment breaches, was it previously contained and it just escaped? Besides the SCP, who are the main characters/who makes an appereance in the article? The SCP itself doesn't seem much of a threat to humanity compared to other SCPS by itself, but it's ability to mimic people could lead to some interesting scenarios. |
Author response:
well i hope your ready because ive written a whole novel:
The SCP's abilities are indeed vague. The SCP, codenamed "The Mime," possesses the ability to manipulate and control individuals through a form of anomalous puppetry. Upon making eye contact with a living being, it gains the ability to mimic their voice and appearance perfectly. It then proceeds to kill the individual and take on their appearance, effectively becoming a replica of the victim. Through this process, it can continue to mimic additional individuals, creating a network of controlled subjects referred to as SCP-XXXX-2.
The victims of "The Mime" are typically individuals who make direct eye contact with it, enabling the SCP to gain control over them through its mimicry abilities. These controlled individuals become loyal followers, designated SCP-XXXX-2, and are often manipulated into engaging in cult-like activities, including spreading propaganda and committing acts of violence.
By mimicking emotions and appearances, "The Mime" can seamlessly blend into human populations, making it difficult to detect and contain. This ability allows it to manipulate and control its victims, posing a significant threat to containment efforts and potentially causing widespread chaos if left unchecked.
While "The Mime" was previously contained, there have been instances of containment breaches due to its elusive nature and ability to manipulate individuals. These breaches have resulted in the SCP infiltrating other SCP facilities and communicating with other anomalous entities, posing a threat to containment protocols and the safety of Foundation personnel.
In addition to "The Mime" itself, the main characters in the SCP article would include Foundation personnel involved in containment efforts, security personnel tasked with monitoring the SCP's chamber, and potentially SCP-XXXX-2 individuals who have been influenced by the SCP's anomalous abilities.
While "The Mime" may not pose an immediate physical threat to humanity on its own, its ability to mimic people and manipulate individuals could lead to dangerous scenarios and potential breaches of containment. The SCP's ability to infiltrate human populations and control its victims makes it a significant threat to containment protocols and the safety of Foundation personnel.

need me to add some of the more anomalous stuff to it that I have written down about the SCP?
I've posted in the thread asking the author if they used AI.
