ahti2 (account age and site membership 1 day) recently coldposted the following article: https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-8957
The initial page revisions were very barebones:
Initial page creation:
SCP 8957
Special containment prcedures
Must be contained in a normal anomalys object containment cell
First revision
SCP 8957
Special containment prcedures
- Must be contained in a normal anomalys object containment cell
- Any interaction must be approved by atleast 2 level 4 personnel
- Any research must be made with non corrosive suits on
Second revision
SCP 8957
Special containment prcedures
- Must be contained in a normal anomalys object containment cell
- Any interaction must be approved by atleast 2 level 4 personnel
- Any research must be made with non corrosive suits on
Description
The third revision replaced the entirety of the article with new text, which very clearly did not match the earlier typing style, had the wrong numerical designation (8959 instead of 8957), and also bore numerous hallmarks of AI-generated text (most obviously the laundry list of specifically titled abilities, and the ending paragraph).
## SCP-8959: Sticky Situation
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-8959 is to be stored in a standard low-value materials locker at Site-██. The locker must be lined with a five (5) centimeter layer of inert ceramic material, replaced monthly. Access to SCP-8959 requires Level 2 clearance and the presence of two (2) researchers equipped with Class-B hazardous materials suits.
Description: SCP-8959 is a clear, viscous liquid contained within a seemingly unremarkable glass bottle. The bottle itself shows no anomalous properties and holds approximately 250 milliliters of liquid. However, analysis of the liquid reveals an unknown chemical compound with no equivalent in any known database.
Anomalous Properties: SCP-8959 exhibits two primary anomalous properties:
- Infinite Adhesion: When removed from the bottle, SCP-8959 displays an infinite quantity. Regardless of the amount dispensed, the level within the bottle will never diminish.
- Corrosive Touch: In its liquid state, SCP-8959 is highly corrosive. Any organic material coming into direct contact with SCP-8959 will be rapidly broken down on a cellular level, effectively dissolving and converting the organic matter into more SCP-8959. This process is incredibly fast, taking only seconds for complete conversion of exposed flesh.
Solidification: SCP-8959 hardens within approximately two (2) minutes of exposure to air, forming a clear, amber-colored solid with an extremely high tensile strength. Once solidified, SCP-8959's corrosive properties cease entirely. However, the solidified form remains inseparable from any object it has bonded to during its liquid state. Attempts to remove SCP-8959 from adhered surfaces have resulted in the complete destruction of the underlying material.
Recovery: SCP-8959 was recovered from a civilian apartment building in ████████, following reports of several unexplained disappearances. Agents embedded with local law enforcement discovered the apartment in question completely filled with a solidified mass of SCP-8959. Investigation revealed the remains of the sole occupant dissolved and incorporated into the solidified material.
Testing: Testing with D-Class personnel has confirmed SCP-8959's lethality and adhesive properties. Due to the dangers posed by SCP-8959, further experimentation is pending acquisition of suitable robotic testing platforms.
