Purpose:
The Discord Team Restructure has passed, and candidates have been decided upon for voting.
In this thread we will allow 1 week for Discord Staff and Administrators to vote on candidates.
Process and Rules:
Use the Code Block below to indicate your vote. This vote is Ranked Choice. You should rank your preference of candidate using the appropriate scale with 1 being the most preferred candidate.
You MAY abstain entirely on a position if you so wish.
You MAY vote for yourself. These votes will likely spoiler for the first preference but may be useful in determining runner-ups.
The rules for the vote will be as follows:
- The vote will be open to Administrators and all of the Discord Team - including Junior Staff.
- The vote will be conducted over a period of one week.
- In this vote we use ranked choice voting for each position.
- The Captaincy vote will be counted first, and if someone receives it they will be eliminated as a candidate from all VC votes.
- Two VCs will be chosen for the Moderation Subteam. If another is needed the captain may appoint them.
- One VC will be chosen for the Documentation Subteam.
- There will be no vote for the Bot and Automation Subteam. Yossi will be VC of this subteam.
- Before the results are finalized if someone has won multiple votes they may choose to select one VC position to occupy and remove themselves as a candidate from the other poll, but they are not required to do so.
- In the event that there are fewer candidates than open positions for VC, the newly appointed Captain will be responsible for filling these positions.
