Apps, one more time.

So, I'm temporarily shutting down new applications (or at least asking people not to apply for a bit), because i have an idea.

We've been running into an issue because it seems that if an application is rejected, that same person is unable to apply to join again. I thereby propose that we either take volunteers, or make a joint account for people to send their applications to via PM. That way we keep their applications to the site available to accept should they try again and get it right, and they can apply again after a sufficient amount of time.

How does that sound guys?

Doesn't sound like a bad idea. I know people have been complaining that the 200 character limit is too restrictive. We should also probably have some kind of notice on how to revoke and re-submit your application as well, it seems a lot of people don't know how to do that…

But do we want a selection of Volunteers to run it, or a community run profile? Like, I'd be more then happy to take them in my pm box, and post the applications here, considering i'm on literally every day to check.

That may be a good idea Bright…you've (somehow) become our H.R. guy, so maybe it should default to you, unless we can rook a couple others to help take the load.

Alternatively, we could use this simple Google Docs form. If any of you have Google accounts, let me know so I can give you access so you can see the results.

Yes, as long as you have edit permissions. Creating that form was the first time I ever made anything with Google Docs, and I was amazed at just how easy it was.

Seriously, anyone who wants access just PM me with your Google user name so I can give you access to the results and the editing page for this form.

If you have a Gmail account or a YouTube account or any kind of account on a Google product, you should be able to log in to all Google services (including Docs).

If you don't have a Google account, just go to http://docs.google.com (or any other Google site that requires a login) and you should see a nice, big button that'll take you to an application page. If that doesn't work for some reason, PM me with your email address and I'll send you a GMail invitation.
