On October 25 2023, Hawkeson posted this article, which is obviously AI-generated. After it entered deletion range and the deletion vote was opened in the discussion, they left the following comment:

Thank you for taking part in this experiment. In reality, this "story" was written using Chat-GPT, and only slightly edited for conciseness. The reactions have been very clear, the SCP community dislikes anything to do with AI, as other past experiments have shown. Thank you!

along with a screenshot of the ChatGPT output they used to write their article. They also removed the deletion-range tag and added a nonstandard tag of their own at about the same time.

Prismal, DrEverettMann. and I support a permanent ban for plagiarism.

Confessing to it doesn't make it okay, and running unofficial "experiments" on the site should be avoided. Per precedent with LLMs/"AI"/models like ChatGPT, I vote for a permanent ban.
