Noting that it was brought to staff attention that new site member RustyMarcuz (ID 8056811, account age 227 days, site membership 3 days) recently coldposted multiple articles that fell to the negatives, and received multiple upvotes from very new accounts with no forum activity:

Seconding this action; It's either sock puppetry or brigade upvoting by a peer group, neither of which is in the letter or spirit of the rules.

While it is possible a number of otherwise no-activity users happen to stumble onto the article and voted on it, by Occam's razor it is far more likely it is sockpuppetry, or possibly a group of friends who made accounts, as Meats said. As such I think bans are appropriate here.
