This is a record that the Disciplinary Team has received multiple complaints about the SCP-BOMB-J article posted by OptimisticLucio, which was text from the US Army's Improvised Munitions Handbook. The following is an overview of those complaints:
[…] Staff should seriously consider placing disciplinary measures against OptimisticLucio, for their posting of SCP-BOMB-J. Regardless of its status as a public domain work or not, posting instructions on how to make military-grade explosives, by someone who's in a site moderation position no less, runs the risk of not only putting themselves into federal danger, but the site and community in its entirety.
-
[…] instructions on [bomb] making are like. Illegal in a lot of places including the UK […] Can you imagine if a random new user posted that? They'd be banned instantly.
-
[…] After following this, I do not recognize Lucio as a good staff member anymore. I do not believe one that can start new discussions (as staff in O5) and is for unraising can post a thing like that and have it in draft for more than a month is responsible enough for his role. Atm idk if this will be addressed by staff remotely but this would have gotten a revoke of membership or ban if this for example was a new member.
It should be noted that a majority of the complaints and and several comments from the -J center around the user's actions in the context of being a site moderator. These complaints are being logged so the body of staff may consider the matter from that perspective and provide feedback if so desired.
