Break Time Space Case!

Hey!
Due to a confluence of events including but not limited to my birthday, a trip out of town with unknown elements, the 14th of July, and various IRL long-term-importance tasks to accomplish, I'm going to be rather busy for the next few days.

So i figure i ought to officially take a break, recharge my mental batteries or whatever.

Plan is to start my break at 2300 GMT on July 9th, and come back at some point on Friday the 15th of July (though knowing myself I may return as early as the 13th).

Note: there are 22ish hours between the posting of this thread and my planned break during which I will do some start work/ be available.

Going to pull a vanishing act for 4 to 6 days, depending on how I'm feeling come the end of it.

Going to try to be mostly cold turkey from Discord and the Wiki during this time. That's nothing to be concerned about.

I trust my various counterparts can handle anything I normally would, while I'm away.

How I'm feeling come the end of it is actually a bit sick, unfortunately!

Really really bad headaches that caused me to leave my work early so I'm going to take it easy on this too.

Not the first I get this sort of headache, pops up from time to time, so do still expect me back by, like, the 27th.

Ya know what, after some much needed rest yesterday I'm actually feeling right as rain (or mostly) so I'm going to go ahead and make my return.

been dealing with a somewhat painful dental issue, which has distracted me to say the least, so I have been, and am likely going to be taking a bit of a step back from staff work until it is resolved (about a week and a half).

I'll still be around to an extent but if you need something done in a timely manner preferably ask someone aside from me for the next little bit.

Had some minor unexpected health issues lately relating to a new medication started a bit ago. Taking a break until those are sorted. Hopefully about a week or so but am currently playing it by ear

Heya. Been a bit burnt out on staff stuff for a bit now.

To hopefully help with that I'm going Reserve and leaving the Discord Team (and thus obviously stepping down as one of the captains)

I'm not planning on vanishing completely, or else I'd just retire but I am going to be a lot more selective with what I take on.

Probably mostly policy and longer term projects rather than day to day operations, though we'll see. :)

Greetings. Having already been on Reserve, activity was already more limited, however, having recently resumed academics, and due to other recent events, it's been thought best to leave a majority of SCP Staff Discords, as well as many SCP Discords generally, to limit distraction at this time as well as to allow other matters to proceed without too much interference. In a similar vein the "resign as admin" function has been utilized on the SCP Wiki.

This is intended (ideally) as a temporary measure, which will be re-examined in about a week.

Currently still contactable via Discord DMs, if needed.

Hopefully this is all fine, I recognize there was no consultation and the departure may have seemed concerning to some. I apologize for that, though ultimately believe it was for the best.
