User bigfoot jinx does not match any existing user name (W: 2022-03-02; S: 2022-03-04) has recently made a few "size 0%" additions to the SCP Series 6 and SCP Series 7 pages, reading "jinx was here", under the pretext of fixing broken links. When reverted by a user, they either re-reverted, or called out said user in another "size 0%" edit.

Additionally, an hour later, they edited SCP-PL-KOT-J by adding a .gif image to it, without author permission.

Considering that these actions constitute vandalism, I am asking for a membership revoke at the least.

I have implemented the revocation of site membership.

The user in question was sent the following PM to notify them of this action:

It was brought to the attention of SCP wiki staff that you altered several pages on the wiki without author permission, as is denoted in the following thread.

While most of these edits were unnoticeable to anyone not looking through the page source, this is very close to page vandalism, an act that usually warrants a permanent ban from the SCP Wiki. As such, you have had your site membership revoked.

Repetition of this behavior in the future will earn you a ban. We do not take page vandalism, or vandalism adjacent behavior, lightly.

You may rejoin the SCP Wiki via the normal application process in 24 hours.

This name change is highly suspect to me. I have a hard time believing someone who changes their name to a variation of "haha I'm a troll" after being revoked for vandalism intends to re-enter the site and act in good faith. I am recommending denying the application when they choose to re-apply.

its been 24 hours since my membership was revoked and I reapplied

To which I have responded:

Changing your username to a variation of "haha I'm a troll" in response to being revoked for vandalism did not leave us to believe you intended to re-enter the site and act in good faith. As such your application was denied.

no that's not what it means. This is just my [REDACTED to avoid doxing] name I used awhile ago. I use this on a lot of web sites. I wont troll I promise if I do, you can permaban me I swear I really enjoy this community and I didn't like my old name but I cant change my name again give me a chance please

Based on this response, we have come to believe that this is a younger user who was wholly unaware of how this name change would appear. As such, Zyn, Vivarium, DrBleep, and I have opted to allow them to reapply.

The following PM was sent to notify them of this decision:

Thank you for providing this extra context. Upon review by the Disciplinary Team, we have opted to allow you to reapply to the site as normal. You may resubmit an application at your leisure, but note it can take one to two days for applications to be processed by staff.
