During a discussion on Staffcord regarding April Fools changes to the site, staff member OccultistMave became abrasive and lashed out at several staff members. In addition, they temporarily left Staffcord.

As this marks a continuation of behavior that their captains/staff has addressed with them in the past, they have been given an official warning from the Disciplinary Team. Continuation of this behavior beyond this point will result in censure and/or removal from staff.

The official warning was delivered by myself over discord. Screenshots are available as appropriate.

The Disciplinary Team has remained concerned with OccultistMave's behavior in staff spaces during discussions. Since the previous complaint and formal warning, the team received another complaint regarding her behavior during another staff discussion (staffcord link), where she exhibited similar behaviors.

Members of the team believe that she has continued with similar levels of aggression, assumptions of bad faith, and other behaviors that are unbecoming of staff since the warning, and as such are proposing censure.

If the staff body agrees to censure, then Mave will be barred from participating in staff matters for 2 weeks. She will not be able to make staff posts, participate in staff discussions or projects, or other staff duties during this time. This is not a vote for demotion, she will remain Operational Staff after the censure period expires.

Per the current charter, this vote is restricted to Operational Staff and above. She is permitted to post statements in her defense.

I'm supporting a short censure in this case.

EDIT: Seconding gee on extending the censure for a monthlong at minimum. Reasoning is different, but a similar conclusion.

i was going to support the suggested censure length but following this deeply immature and spiteful response i have to say i'm leaning more towards a longer (let's say a month) censure

OccultistMave has voluntarily retired from staff. As a result, the above censure is no longer in effect.

Due to the circumstances under which OccultistMave left staff, the admin team has made the determination that she is not in good standing with staff as a whole and will not be allowed to return.
