There's nothing particularly objectionable about the Secure Facilities Locations page, but there's also nothing particularly compelling about it either. I (along with L200, HarryBlank, EstrellaYoshte, Ralliston and Azamo does not match any existing user name) have been working on a revamp for the last few months. The Mapping Component has been approved by the Tech team and the discussion has been been public for two months, so that means this vote is ready to post.

Please vote yay or nay on the question of whether the new page should replace the old page. If nay, please say why, if it's a minor thing I'm sure I can fix it. I can't please everyone, but we've tried very hard with this!

Questions that people may ask are answered below, but don't feel like you have to read them all before voting:

What's actually changed?

Most of the differences are visual - every site on the page has been given it's own icon, much like the MTF page and the pages of other branches, and there's a map of all the Sites with a specified location (on Earth, no moon map yet). There's no requirement for new sites to have their own icons or be added to the map, there are placeholder images (see Site-5). However, multiple people have already asked me for the templates to create their own icons, so I expect that even when I lose interest in doing this, other people will be making more.
Information on each site has been placed into sidebars that expand when the site is clicked on. I actually think this makes the page easier to navigate than the current version, as we add more and more Sites to it the serviceable but very long list on the current page gets harder and harder to navigate.
Only one Site (Bio-Site 95) has been removed for not meeting the "Secure Facility Dossier, or appearance in 5 articles" requirement. A couple of others got an expanded description, and formatting was changed to separate out the location.
The long preamble of the current document has been moved to tabs at the bottom - while "Biological" is still defined, I don't think reading it's exact definition should be the introduction to the page.

Is this too complicated to add to?

While creating a new entry from scratch would obviously be intimidating, if you copy and edit the code for another Site it it's actually very simple to create new entries very quickly. Same with the Map.
However, since I don't want to discourage people from adding to the page, it specifically says that if they just add post the information in the comments, MAST will add it to the page. Technically that creates more work for staff, but new facilities are not created that often (outside of Deptcons, thanks for that Rounderhouse!).

Who actually did what?

Ralliston and Azamo got this started.
Harry created the original design for the Site Icons in the Time After Time Password series, although I created most of the ones on the page.
L200 made the Mapping Component, which I commandeered.
EstrellaYoshte did all the rest of the CSS (and checked over the Mapping Component)
I did lots of copy-pasting, seized power and pestered L200 until this was finished.

What about the new Deptcon Sites?

They'll be the first Facilities to be added to this page once it's posted - waiting until the contest is over seems sensible to me anyway. I would like to get this up officially before adding them, it'll be a useful way to find out if anything else needs to be explained.

Archiving the current page

If this is approved, I'll make sure any changes made to the current page are copied over to the new one. We will then archive the current page as "archived:secure-facilities-locations-2", since there is already an "archived:secure-facilities-locations" page.

Why not Sigma-9?

The theme is based on Sigma-9, but the page just looks better with this styling. We'd need to make a much uglier version of this to work in Sigma-9.

What about INT Sites?

The current page is very US centric, much like the site as a whole. I have made a Map of INT Sites, but I'm going to post that on INT.

What if someone creates a Secure Facility that is neither a Site nor Area?

Cross that bridge when we come to it.

I'm probably gonna be the only person voting no on this, but like I said on the discussion I don't like how complex this is and how easy it would be to get this to the wikidot character limit.
