Navigation and Tech have been discussing changing the default body font and its related aspects on the SCP Wiki for a long time. There are three interlocking points:
- Sigma-9's current body size is .8em, which at standard pixel size is 12.8px, lower than the recommended web accessibility guideline of 16px and barely higher than the minimum of 12px.
- Our current top default font is Verdana, which is actually not set by Sigma-9, but Wikidot generic theme (the font stack in full is Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif), which does not import its own instance. As such, a different font is typically displayed on different operating systems.
- Verdana is just kinda ugly on higher font size.
Tech Team has narrowed down 3 candidates as a replacement, the demo of which you can view here:

I would like your opinion on which one you prefer here, if at all. The Tech Team will decide how to move forward after considering all your feedback.

On a related note, change to the header font is also being considered. Currently, it is Bauhaus LT Demi, an all-rights-reserved font,and due to the way we necessarily have to repackage the font file for use itself, we are in violation of its license.
I've created a new font called Sans Normalcy (aka Original Font by EstrellaYoshte made for the SCP Foundation, released under the Open Font License Sans, courtesy of slashannemoo, aka Peanut Sans, discourtesy of
LadyKatie) as a replacement. It supports most Latin and Cyrillic characters, with basic support for Greek characters.

The discussion will go on for a week, after which all data will be aggregated and Tech Team will decide on the technical implementation into Sigma-9, and the final change will be put to a vote if needed.
