Got some PMs from them:
8 hours ago:
When I read the original ¨Staff Post¨, the title read ¨Re: SCP-XXXX-EX-J¨ not ¨Staff Post- Closed¨. Also user ProcyonLotor failed to identify himself as a staff member. His wikidot account page also said nothing about mod or admin of SCP Foundation. No way i could've know he was a moderator. I realize my actions were prohibited by site rules, but next time tell your staff to do their jobs correctly.
The tone of that message was really disrespectful. The meaning stands, your staff needs to identify themselves if they are going to take action and mark the posts appropriately. Not meaning to be rude, sorry.
My response:
The required reading Guide for Newbies (tab Site Behavior) states the following:
[original formatted with links and text bolding] Sassing the Mods: Don't. The Meet the Staff page has a list of people who have some degree of authority on this site; every one of them is at least a trusted user, and has a great deal of experience in writing and interacting with people on the site. You are required to know who these people are!
ProcyonLotor is listed on the linked page. Furthermore, his original closed staff post does have the corresponding title change; there are no edits on the post to indicate it was added later.
Admittedly, this seems to be more of the "is teenager/pre-teen" brand of defensiveness than outright maliciousness, so I'm fine with leaving this at Coony's official warning given that the guy tried to get a better understanding of the site.
Moving for 24 hour ban immediately on next infraction, though.
