A user has reported to us that since October 15th of this year, they have been receiving harassing phone calls from an anonymous number. These calls included serious, threatening language towards the user in question.

The user believes that the person harassing them is connected to EldritchCyanide in some way. EldritchCyanide and the user involved had a prior interpersonal relationship, which since ended.

The user was unable to identify the caller when the user picked up. The user believes for personal reasons that someone connected to EldritchCyanide is responsible.

EldritchCyanide tells us that ze has no idea who would do that, and can think of no one who could do this, and condemns the action.

If the user is right, and someone connected to EldritchCyanide is responsible for this, unbeknownst to EldritchCyanide, staff would urge them to personally come forward, because this may result in EldritchCyanide being expelled from Wikidot and our community.

This is because Wikidot was approached with the issue separately from us. Wikidot apparently wishes to eliminate the possibility of EldritchCyanide being connected to this in any way by deleting EldritchCyanide's wikidot account.

We urge anyone who has any information to please contact a member of the Harassment Team immediately. The user tells us that the situation is hurting them and driving them crazy.

Explanation of delay in a public post being made

Yes, this has been going on for two weeks. Typically, the Harassment Team does not make public posts, but we felt in this case that this was the only recourse for the situation. We exhausted all other recourses first.

Until the last day or two, we were were unable to contact all possibly involved parties or fully investigate the situation (we were unable to contact one user in particular for an entire week, apparently due to a technical error). We have since concluded investigation within the last two days (coincidentally, just before we received word of the Wikidot situation).

Additionally, we were informed two days ago (October 28th) that the calls have been continuing. This makes the situation significantly more urgent.

All primary parties involved are aware of this post.

More information may be forthcoming, but this is all the information we are approved to release at this precise time. However, anyone may still ask questions.

Full Disclosure: This is related to a Harassment case which I have opted not to directly handle for personal reasons, until now, due to being understaffed and having my participation requested.

Addendum:

The unnamed user involved wishes not to be publicly named. Anyone posting about this here who happens to know more about the situation, please do not name the user involved.

Also, the user involved reports receiving more anonymous phone calls today. To reiterate: If anyone knows anything about this, please contact a member of the Harassment Team immediately.

A belated finale update: It has been verified that EldritchCyanide, and people connected to EldritchCyanide, are not responsible in any way for the aforementioned phone calls.

It is unclear whether these were connected to this community at all.

Any further updates, should they materialize, can be sent to any member of the Harassment Team.
