User GamerboyAli (Wikidot user: 13 days | Site member: 10 days) has shown a general pattern of problematic behavior throughout the entirety of their short time on the main site. First off, a couple of days ago — the user in question began posting a string of coldposts, some of which, were apparently written by acquaintances of the individual; however, as official policy regarding this act has not been established yet, I'm simply documenting this action for the sake of transparency and record-keeping. Moving on to the main reasoning behind this thread, recently, upon the user's coldposts beginning to accumulate downvotes, they have shown a consistent pattern of attempting to receive critique after the fact — usually acting in an almost clueless manner, in one case, having to be talked through the process of how attributing an image works, and often creating Author Posts that state that they are going to quit the wiki, etc. Unfortunately, due to these threads being deleted — I am unable to log transcripts, though there are some non-discussion thread posts that also need to be brought up, and would also add to the previously mentioned behavior.
On the 29th of October, 2020, the user posted a thread — being heavily self-deprecative — stating stuff along the lines of them 'not being made for writing', and 'never having a chance' despite them being informed of the many on-site resources that would otherwise help them improve their writing capabilities. Since the thread's creation, it has been locked, hidden, and archived by TSATPWTCOTTTADC. On another note, the following has been inserted in the user's 'about' section on their Wikidot account:
Thank you all for the opportunity of becoming an SCP writer. Unfortunately, I will not make any more SCPs due to continuous failure.
Also, please note that this has been present for the duration of the user posting 3 articles, and has changed somewhat over time, showing that they didn't just do it in the heat of the moment and forgot about it. On another note, a few days after this incident, they posted in the Drafts Forum, despite not having any greenlights or successful articles. The offending thread has since been handled by Crit Staff. Overall, the entirety of the user's interactions have shown cluelessness at best, and a complete disregard for how the site works at worst. In the future, as a lot of the stuff this user says is done in discussion threads which get deleted, I will be logging all of their possibly note-worthy posts for record-keeping purposes.
Keep an eye on them.
