From #site19:
[23:17] TwistedGears thedeadlymoose: Maybe this would be weird, but what if there was a tag for crosslinks/wikiwalking?
[23:19] TwistedGears Like, if an article (or maybe a tale?) has a link to something else (maybe more than one) it would get a tag. So stuff like 682, 914, blahblahblah, would get tagged with it and you could easily go "man I like it when stuff links to other stuff" and just click the tag and see a bunch of things that do it
[23:21] thedeadlymoose Specifically a tag for SCPs that crosslink?
[23:21] thedeadlymoose That… hasn't been suggested.
[23:21] thedeadlymoose And I think it's a really excellent idea, actually.
[23:21] TwistedGears stands proud atop pedestal
I'm a pretty big fan of this suggestion, and there was generally good reception for the idea in staff chat. Considering how vital I think the "wikiwalk" is to our site (and how handicapped Series 2 and 3 are for not having much of a wikiwalk), I would quite like a "wikiwalk" tag that could help encourage more of this.
Light also brought up tags for specific characters. This has come up before (along with tags for SCPs appearing in tales and other SCPs), and Crayne investigated it; it was moderately difficult to initially implement, but certainly do-able, especially going forward. I am also a big fan of this suggestion.
Thoughts?
(Obviously, especially thoughts from Crayne and the Technical Team.)
