So, I spilled hot chocolate all over my laptop this morning, and it is currently out of commission. With any luck it isn't totally shot, but I'm giving it time to dry before trying to find out.

Since I use my laptop for basically all SCP-related activities, if it turns out to be dead then I'll be gone for a few days until I am able to get a replacement. If I'm urgently needed for anything I'll still be available in the MAST and Tech Discord servers, but otherwise I'll be absent for a few days, not sure how long.

EDIT: It's dead. I'll be looking into a replacement, but no update on how long it'll take to get it.

I've gotten a new laptop and am in the process of setting everything up again. I should be returning to availability, although I'll be somewhat limited for a brief period as I get things sorted out.

A nasty storm knocked out my power. Electrical wires are down and I don't have electricity or internet until the power company fixes it, which, in the past has been a few days. I'll be completely inactive until everything is fixed.

The estimate for power being fixed isn't before I move back to college. For the next two weeks I'll either be without power, traveling or moving into a new house and settling there. I'm not sure when I'll be back in full capacity, but it probably won't be sooner than August 23rd.

I am going to be taking a one week sabbatical from all staff duties (and generally the Wiki as a whole) for one week, beginning now. I'll return on the 27th. Please don't contact me unless absolutely necessary or for a major emergency.

Remembering how it was nice to take a sabbatical last December and feeling stressed out and tired from everything that has happened since, I have decided to take another sabbatical from staff duties. This time I will make it a month long. During that time I will be giving myself Retired roles in staffchats if able, and will potentially be leaving general chats.

Tech will have no leadership changes, with aismallard being the sole acting Captain and Croq remaining the sole Vice Captain. In my absence, Limeyy will be promoted to Acting Captain of Rewrite (from Vice Captain) and Riemann to Acting Vice Captain.

I will be returning February 3rd. Have a good month, don't burn the place down.

The last week of staffwork was exceptionally hectic and busy, and I need a break. I will be returning to staffwork on March 6th, in two weeks. One week is a bit short, any longer than two feels like too much. I don't plan to leave staffchats this time because it was more of a pain than it was worth, but I will be muting them and throwing them into a discord folder I don't plan to open. Please don't ping me outside of an emergency.

I am coming to the conclusion I need to take these breaks on a yearly basis, it looks like. Will try to remember that next January.
