So, they pulled this shit on site about a week ago, I won't summarize it here except to say it ended with their permanent ban from the site. Then they tried to join 19.
Upon seeing them in 19, I banned then and then asked other ops (out of order I know but you try dealing with this level of jet lag). Three or four others agreed with my decision, to varying levels of enthusiasm.
User attempted to make an appeal in 17 but gave up and quit fairly early in the process. Operative consensus is that it doesn't count and the option to appeal still remains to them.
Permanent ban, to be undone if/when the site ban is (assuming no successful appeal).
