I've given this page a rewrite. Please read it if you're a chat op.
I've rewritten the guidelines to better match current standards. Also, I've added an 'Assorted Points Of Order' section. Later on we'll replace that with something more well-organized, but since this kind of thing has been repeatedly requested for, I dunno, the last year at least, I wanted to just go ahead and get something like that up.
Everything I've added is something that's been discussed elsewhere on O5 — but feel free to add anything I missed.
I'd like to start using this page more extensively. This discussion thread is an appropriate venue for suggesting additions to this page (or reminding me of stuff I forgot to add). Also, if you see sloppy language and you're a chatop, feel free to tweak it.
And a note: the items in this proposal are still on the table. I've adopted the language of #2 wholesale, though.
ALSO, I haven't yet updated this with the results of the January op meeting. I will take care of that later — there's only so many hours I can work on a thing at once, unfortunately. :x
