App denied, user unsure why

Got a PM from a Wikidot user asking why his application was denied.

Age: 15

Luminous Uprise

Location: Brazil

Reason to join: i want to write SCPs and receive feedback on them, also i hate sites with retards and this one has many anti-retard walls.

I don't know who denied him, but I'm guessing it's the obsession with the word "retard"?

Seriously, the only people I've heard slinging that word with such enthusiasm are either military, or desperately immature… and the irony of the grammar errors was too much.

Also, I hope you know that it has taken herculean effort to suppress the obvious snarky replies these apps begged for.

Mann pointed out there may be English as second language confusion here regarding the meaning of the word "retard", but regardless I think the refusal message was fairly clear.

So Zyn was right, they did end up remodelling their application to make them sound like less of an asshole. And yeah, they're probably ESL, but trust me, 'retard' is a slur regardless of whether the English language is their vernacular.

Anyway, they said they were instructed to PM a mod or admin if they had questions about the denial, and I'm listed first alphabetically, so that's probably why I got it. Will reply saying that they were told exactly why their app was denied.

Sounds good. (Although, in fairness, I don't see a significant difference between each version of their app, only the strange omission of the denial message. Perhaps they didn't check it.)

Well….ehhh…point taken. Zyn pointed out they might have rewritten their actual app, and they did, but there's no real change in abrasiveness, true. :P
