That looks good to me for my position. Planning to become more active again once I move into my own place and start school…which ironically would mean once I become busier than I am right now, but in a way that would be conducive toward my participation in online duties.

As part of the rollout, the following changes have been made with current staff:

Heiden has been returned to Active Moderators, as Reserve Staff with an online presence, but not returned to the Disciplinary Committee since he is on Reserve Staff.

Sorts has been returned to Active Administrators, as a contact for License Experts, and due to the fact that he's been around recently.

Arlecchino/Burns is now considered active staff, as Reserve Staff with an online presence.

Bouncl is now considered active staff, as Reserve Staff with an online presence.

murphy_slaw is now considered active staff, as Technical Staff with an online presence.

DrKens is now considered active staff, as Technical Staff with an online presence.

spikebrennan is now considered active staff, as a member of License Experts who can occasionally post on O5.

RhettSarlin is now considered active staff, as Reserve Staff who can occasionally post on O5.

Under the prior system, these members would be considered Inactive; but now we can differentiate between Inactive, Reserve, and someone who simply has only one assigned responsibility.

The Guide to Newbies will be updated when we or someone else can get to it, which may be immediately, and may be tomorrow.

This page lays out everyone's responsibilities (assuming I didn't make any errors that I didn't intend to). The Senior Staff List has also been updated.

And the rollout is largely in place.

Current Issues:

We haven't finished the reporting system for the Harassment Team, and I've yet to see the final draft of the Harassment Policy.

Teams are currently undermanned and some people are stretched a bit to thin.

Team Captains need to get with their Admins, or if they're unavailable for some reason, Moose or myself to talk about their Team's Structure. This is mostly just a "touching base" sort of situation.

Next Steps:

The December Promotions are being carried out in the next few days, once we have the last few things in place. I would like to warn some of you up front: there are a lot of promotions. I will attempt to mention what team people are being pointed at as well, but there's a good chance that people will end up on several teams, to bolster our ranks.

I will be getting together will Aelanna soon to talk about the site CSS that she's working on, which will also mean changes in the sidebars, top bars, and a few other things. Expect this soonish.

We are still working on some of the projects from December. Sorry, but some of our administration had some things they had to take care of and personal issues to attend to. We thank you for being patient.

Team Captains: Get in touch with me concerning your template. (If you don't know what a template is, then get in touch with me, concerning your template.)

Other things:

You'll notice that O5 looks a bit different. The Staff Structure is in a fairly prominent place, and some things have vanished from the side/top bars.

At the top right, in the topbar, you'll see the team pages. Please, review the pages you're a member of and make sure the information there is correct. Get together with your team captain and discuss things with them. The captain might even want to make an IRC chat or establish a method of communication. You are responsible for talking to your captain. Your captain isn't responsible for tracking you down.

On the left, you'll see that the archived pages now have their own little slot. These are mostly older pages which no longer serve a purpose or are outdated in some way. They're only here for record keeping purposes.

Additionally, the O5 wiki has been tagged. This is because all the reports you write will be automatically tagged, so long as you're using the system built into your pages. I went ahead and tagged just about everything while I was at it, to keep stuff organized.

I would like to note the following things, though, which team captains and members should keep in mind:

How often you write a report,

When you write a report,

and What information that report contains,

…are things that should be worked out between you and your Go-To admin/admins. Disciplinary might update once a week with a list of issues, but technical staff is more likely to update once a month or two on projects, status of projects, etc. These are things to work out with your people, and they should be integrated into the tabbed documents which your page hosts, with the structure.

If there are any questions, feel free to ask away.

One note, you two: Silber suggested that we put the new stuff first with the SCP series, as opposed to old stuff first. A large number of us liked this idea. Just a side note to consider.

Effectively, I'm going to make it where each report gets its own page, and each page is then displayed. This system should be extremely simple to use, and I'm going to make it as hassle free as possible.

The reason for this is largely because… no one reads the Recent Changes on O5. There are recent changes about once a month, so it was safe to do it this way. It'll keep Recent Posts for User Issues (which everyone sort of needs to be aware of) and serious discussion about the site.

I would appreciate it if we could sit down and hash out what you want to accomplish with the site's UI elements as part of a larger overhaul of the site template. I haven't seen what you intend to put up, but it wouldn't hurt to go over it from a UI/UX user story perspective.

The rollout of the structure should happen over the next few days, assuming I can get the last two kinks worked out. A few things to note:

It was determined, in an attempt to "avoid noise", that we would be using the listpages module and categories to keep records for each individual group. This is a little yucky, but it will keep all records and reports that the group posts on a "single page". That being said: Team Leaders and their Go-To Admins will determine how often you post these reports and who does the actual posting. I plan to consolidate these reports to a single, archived page at the end of each year. If I don't do it or have died, I expect the team's captain/go-to admin to take care of it for me.

The promotion vote is delayed until the Staff Structure is in place. The list of people going up for promotion has already been generated, and the new format for voting is already in place. However, no vote will take place until everything is up and running.

The reporting system for the images team and the harassment team is not yet ready. I have to get together with the might slaw to finish it up. I hope to be done in the next few days (hope), but no promises.

More to come soon.
