I always tell it to people that I interview for staff chat (which is about 90-95% of the current users). The rest should know it from being around when we regularly lament not being able to snippet things or from when we invite a new users in an tell them "First rule of Staff Chat: Do not share information from staff chat."

I heard it individually on an interpersonal basis several times, so I don't know if it's *written* anywhere, but it should be known by everyone there.

OK, stupid question:

I know the first rule of Fight Club Staff Chat is you don't talk about Staff Chat, but do we actually tell people that anywhere?
I don't think anyone did, when I was invited in…but it seemed obvious.

Yesterday was, apparently, "Lack of Common Sense Day."

Tox pasted logs (from super secret staff chat) about a user's disciplinary action into a side chat for the user in question to read. Not out of malice or out of an attempt to cause trouble — it was actually an attempt to help out the other user — but still a… really flagrant violation of the super secret staff chat's most basic (and pretty much only) rule. This is also not the first time an incident with Tox has occurred in relation to secret chat.

Tox has been permanently banned from secret staff chat. The ban was made with agreement of two other administrators and other staff.

Tox is not being considered for senior staff at this time. If Tox is considered for staff again, this ban will be rescinded (for obvious reasons), but otherwise it's permanent.
