I'm SoullessSingularity, moderator on the SCP Foundation. It's come to staff attention that you've been fairly active on the forums, which is a good thing! Unfortunately, there are problems in your posts that staff have called out on multiple times. Since you've mentioned earlier you don't read replies to your posts, the staff have decided to deliver an official warning via Private Message.

You've repeatedly made inaccurate assessments of situations. An example of this would be upvoting to counter Hyaenaboy's downvote, to which he didn't downvote at all and calling him out as ignorant when it wasn't ignorant. Another example of this would the pointing out of a gross mathematical error that did not in fact exist, as in this post.

While your participation in the community is appreciated (it wouldn't be a community without member participation after all) it is also important that your posts are actually relevant and accurate to the topic at hand. It is also strongly recommended that you do read responses to your posts, as multiple staff have attempted to communicate with you already through them. You have received an Official Warning via this Private Message. Please make sure your posts are relevant and accurate to the topic at hand in the future.

EDIT: Actually, given "I'm pretty sure she's posted somewhere that she doesn't read replies to any of the comments she posts." — I'm almost inclined to warn her now. Seriously, that's gobsmackingly annoying, and a good way to have an excuse to never alter her behavior. But, eh, that may just be the annoyance talking. Don't want to overreact.

I'm going to upvote, if only to counteract HyaenaBoy's downvote, which I consider ignorant and borderline "malicious downvoting". Overall, this thing doesn't rub me the wrong way at any point; if it's turning into a cliché, the most that could do is turn my upvote into a novote.

I called her out in a staff post, since calling someone's vote "ignorant", especially when they've clearly explained what they didn't like, is crossing the line, and she's the one using a basis other than the article's content in her voting anyway.

Ethnicity does not equal race. When I saw variety of races, I immediately believe we had found neanderthal ears or something like that. But, that would be an outlier that would exist outside of "normal human DNA".

There are other tone issues that I have trouble believing that scientists would commit, and the last addendum is just completely retarded. No vote for now.

Seeing as she's made some misinformed accusations against authors and other members before (one recent example is here: http://www.scp-wiki.net/forum/t-537565/scp-1181#post-2019040 when she calls something "grossly mathematically inaccurate" when she didn't understand it), if this happens again, I say move right to official warning, then 24 hour ban.

Oh, for…! I saw this issue brought up earlier and didn't feel the need to necro things, but honestly! Several people reply with sarcasm, no one replies with a thorough explanation. SCP NAZI TO THE RESCUE! (BTW, if anyone can ever find a reference to any sort of Nazi coming "to the rescue" of anything anywhere else, I'll actually post that J-SCP I've been working on.)

Given the rest of the comments have decent content, I'm thinking that this isn't that much of an issue at the moment. The most recent comment kind of worries me, though.

Either she'll succeed or she'll fail. If she fails, she'll either learn from it or she won't. If she doesn't, she'll either break the rules or not break the rules in the process. If she breaks the rules, we have a system to deal with that. If she doesn't break the rules, she'll have a chance to try again, and then we go back to the beginning of this flowchart paragraph.

So, in short, I'm not worried about how this will turn out.

If she coldposts and then turn around and refuses to accept criticism on her coldposted work, then we have problem user who isn't obeying the rules. But I don't think there's anything in the rules that says that you're not allowed to prefer writing privately and then posting. At the point it's just "this user isn't acting the way we want users to act", kinda, in my opinion. Maybe I'm just misinterpreting what's going on.

No…I…honestly haven't ever been to the forums. In fact, I'm not even sure where they are. *blush* I just pass my time reading each SCP article in numerical order (I've covered all of series one and about half of the -J's); the only time I acknowledge the community is when I read the discussion pages. :\ I know SCP's are generally collaborations to some extent, but I'm never comfortable sharing something I write before it's done. Call me crazy (please, it's the central aspect of my identity), but I much prefer writing in private and then letting people judge my work it after it's finished and posted; and I believe that, after months of work, my idea is as ready as it'll ever be. (Also, it's a joke, and I'd rather not tell people the joke ahead of time.)

…am I the only one worried about how this will turn out? Dmatix and VAE already addressed the situation and no reply so far, but I really can't see a joke coldpost by this user ending well (or without a dogpile) :/
