The major issue taken here was that it was tagged with the official underscore'd tag without consulting anyone.

I say "major" issue, but this is more "minor wrinkle".

Imo, if someone intends a piece to be a GOI format then it should be tagged as such. Otherwise half the GOI formats we do have wouldn’t exist or would exist only as one off tales. If people don’t like the format used, they can downvote. Like what happened to the proposed IJAMEA format a while back.

As the creator of the GoI, I had a look over the new format and it looks fine to me. Got no issue with it being considered the official one for the HI.

Greetings staff.

There was a post recently which detailed making Univine's Horizon Initiative format an official goi-format and giving it the _horizon-initiative tag.

There was a bit of time taken to action this, and myself and ARD noticed that the process got shortcuted. Posts were made to correct this and the tags were removed from the articles in question.

The question is now: Is this the official Horizon Initiative GoI, and should it be tagged as such?

I believe Dmatix is the original creator of the GoI, but a staff consensus would do fine as well.

Thoughts?
