Noting that they brought up the stickied thread about the drama from last year and seemed… kind of pushy and misinformed about reinstating the Pride logo?

+ show block

– hide block

http://www.scp-wiki.net/forum/t-6242173/sticky-regarding-threads-about-recent-drama#post-4394758

Is the pride logo coming back next June?
I really hope it does.
And I hope this little debacle doesn't scare us off from supporting a good cause, especially with the US supreme court ruling in favour of LGBT not being under the protected group's list, making employers able to fire those under the pretense of their sexual orientation exclusively.

If the staff were unanimous on bringing it back next June, it would be an act of solidarity. And I know that many, including me, would appreciate and love to see this kind of support, even if it were a small gesture.

(Idk if this is a dead thread, I just wanted to voice this somewhere)

http://www.scp-wiki.net/forum/t-6242173/sticky-regarding-threads-about-recent-drama#post-4397405

The drama is over, those who disagree with it are gone, no further damage can be done in my opinion.
The second time around, there's going to be significantly less drama, because it's already happened, and shouldn't matter anymore… right?
And backing off from something like this, or, even actively opposing it, seems like regression than anything else.
Some "Drama" really shouldn't be a factor of fear, at all, a tiny logo change for the month shouldn't make people this mad. Like I looked at it and said "cool." Because it wasn't a big deal. Someone who takes issue with a simple temporary logo change probably has some deep-rooted issues themselves. Why are we scared of these people?
Drama doesn't just "repeat", right?
I don't know dude, just seems a Lil wrong to me, but you might know something I don't.

Mistakes were made, lessons were learned, maybe we can do it better next time.

Of note, the second comment originally read:

The drama is over, those who disagree with it are gone, no further damage can be done in my opinion.

The second time around, there's going to be significantly less drama, because it's already happened, and shouldn't matter anymore… right?

Why do we care about how a few bad apples feel? That said, given their previous behavior and the fact that they don't have many other recent posts… might merit keeping an eye on.

I was only pointing that out.
I'm sure a more experienced writer would have a much different opinion than your's which is overly cynical. This is an ideas forum, nothing says I need perfect grammar here, despite you saying it constantly. And even if a more experienced writer has the same opinion here, I'm sure they would be able to explain things better to me than you can.

But uh, thank you for writing anyways.
Am I being overly defensive?

We may need to move into another official warning or potentially a ban. They've already been revoked and warned last year about their behavior.

I do have spellcheck, but this is not my "work" it is an idea on an idea forum (do i need to reiterate this) that does not need to be "professional."

It's an anomalous object, they do these things.

I don't really see how it's overcomplicated, see the brief explanation in the beginning.
