And they seem to be back at it again, using the same slot as before: http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-2629. This was made two hours ago.

Looking through their profile, still no sandbox use or seeking of feedback. I don't know if I'm allowed to, as I am neither disc staff or operational staff, but I feel something a bit stronger than a revoke would be in order.

Wikidot profile history shows no usage of the sandbox since March 2, which is before the slough of coldposts.

Also, no forum usage for asking for draft help.

Double-checked with staff in chat about it, revoked membership, PM sent.

ETA: going to start doing this, since it helps me remember, and besides, I PM this stuff already.

Relevant policy page: http://www.scp-wiki.net/site-rules

Posting: Do not spam the site with shitty articles. If staff tell you to slow down or stop posting, listen to them.

New site member Morphogenetic_Field (Account age: 36 days, Site Membership: 13 days) has posted four low quality articles without seeking feedback over the course of the last week despite being informed of the feedback process on the discussion page of every article they've posted. On their third post, I advised them to slow down and take time to seek feedback prior to posting, but today they've posted yet another low quality article, a -J currently at -17, http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-91028301-j/comments/show, the contents of which are as follows:

Item #: SCP-91028301

Object Class: Increta Zethin

Special Containment Procedures: Keep it in my drawer and let it explode

Description: Every time you lie, your pants will explode

Addendum: Noooooooooooo. Nope. Nada. Novo. No no nooooooooo.

After conferring with Soulless, I shot them a PM and informed them of the critique process and once again advised them to slow down a little.

+ show PM

- hide PM

Hello Morphogentic_Field,

I'm Sirens, Junior Staff on the SCP Wiki. I've noticed that over the course of the last week you have posted four articles to the site that have not received any feedback prior to being posted and that all of them have since been deleted or hit the deletion threshold. The SCP Wiki has resources available to help improve your drafts prior to being posted to the mainsite, and while I and several others have mentioned this in the discussion page on your articles, I'm unsure of whether or not you got a chance to see it.

In short, whenever you have finished a draft in your sandbox page, please seek critique from our other users in either the IRC chat or the Drafts and Critiques forum. Doing so will allow you to improve your draft and give it, and you, a higher chance of success here on the wiki. Seeking critique prior to posting to the mainsite will allow you to make all of the necessary changes to a draft before it is posted and voted on as finished, polished work.

In my earlier comment on one of your articles, I advised that you slowed down a bit and took time to seek feedback on your drafts prior to posting them to the mainsite and that is what I am once again going to advise here. The wiki isn't going any where, and though the critique process can be a bit time consuming, it will be worth it when your article goes on to succeed on the site. If you're ever having a hard time getting critique, you can always PM a member of staff and ask them for critique as well.

If you have any questions about this, don't hesitate to PM me or another member of staff.

Thank you,
Sirens

ETA: Got a reply.

+ show reply

- hide reply

Hello Sirens,
Thank you for letting me know because I was not sure if I was going a bit fast. Also thanks for letting me know about the draft forum because I did not know we had one.

Scientifically yours as a writer,
Morphogentic_Field

I'm unsure of whether or not posting four low quality articles over the course of a week is considered spamming, but I thought I'd post this just in case. Keep an eye on?
