<p>BAD_DATA is someone who has deserved this promotion some sometime. When it comes to the BWP, Data has been someone who has consistently helped to get it moving in all aspects and is part of the reason why it has progressed as far as it has. On the data analysis side of things, Data's data (love saying that, sorry Data) has helped to drive decisions and improvements across the board. Data has also excelled in other areas and has overall been a wonderful addition to staff.</p> <p>I'm not overly familiar with Cerastes or Heck_Tech but I have seen their work. It's clear to me they're incredibly hard working and have helped their respective teams tremendously.</p> <p>UncannyClown has also been helping with the BWP, contributing to discussions and helping us come to decisions on how to handle works that need extra examination. This has been a great help to us, and helped to get things moving at a more steady pace.</p> <p>Overall, a great batch of candidates.</p>

<p>I don't know enough about the others, but I can't express anything but support for BAD_DATA. Incredibly active and diligent and often considers multiple angles before acting, which is very valuable to have. Could not be happier with them as a candidate.</p>

Support</p> <p>While I'm not as familiar with the work of UncannyClown or Cerastes, I can definitely support their character and believe that both would do great in staff. Support</p>

<p>I'm not familiar with most candidates and I support them, but I do want to specifically show my full support for Heck_Tech, specially because, as is mentioned in the reasons for promotion section: he's a tagging powerhouse. Ever since he was brought into the team, he has worked nonstop to tag everything that gets posted.</p>

<p>Bad Data has overall been a huge help and is wonderful to work with, I can only say good things about them. Heck_Tech and UncannyClown, while I don't work with them as much, I certainly see their drive with their staff work. I am unfamiliar with Cerastes' work, which is not to say anything bad, but I just can't comment on it.</p>

<p>BAD_DATA, Heck_Tech, and UncannyClown have been amazing contributers not just to their individual teams, but across staff as a whole.</p> <p>BAD_DATA (ironically) has been absolutely amazing with all things data and has done great work as a junior moderator in 19cord. They're an amazing solution-seeker; when they identify a problem, DATA will get right to fixing it.</p> <p>Heck_Tech is an absolute POWERHOUSE. He's one of the backbones of tagging, with absolutely amazing output there, while still managing to be a total beast helping with deletions and doing amazing work on rewrite recently too. Though not an official staff function, he has also had an excellent tenure as a member of the Moth Squad in Deer College. I cannot reccomend Heck enough!</p> <p>UncannyClown I know less well personally, but I have noticed their presence across various staff functions and they are capable, competent, and proactive. Support fully.</p> <p>Cerastes I am simply unfamiliar with so I don't have much to say there.</p>

<p>all-around good crop of staff for promotion this summer.</p> <p>BD has almost single-handedly (with the helps of koscheiisms and a few others) revitalized the data analysis team on community outreach and contributed a ton towards the Bright Works Project both behind the scenes and publicly. they are a delight to work with, possess a good temperament, and are very dedicated to their craft and policy. endorsed wholeheartedly.</p> <p>Cerastes is diligent and humble, quietly plugging away and doing the Good Work in Licensing. He was also previously opstaff and chose to rejoin as js because he wanted to be promoted only if he earned it, and naepic and i both feel he's earned it. endorsing wholeheartedly.</p> <p>Heck and UC hves been tagging articles for a while, and as of recent, joined the Deletions Team on MAST now that we allow js to function as witnesses for deletions. They have been key in helping the ebb and flow of deletions move along efficiently. both are attentive and obviously care, and UC has even provided some opinions on policy that have been good to have. both are eager to join new projects and though they have only been &quot;my&quot; staff for a short while, they are both highly recommended.</p>

<p>While I don't personally know Cerastes and his work (which was undoubtedly remarkable given his candidacy), I can't but directly support BAD_DATA and Uncanny Clown's candidacy: both are among the most efficient, active and willing staffers, making an enormous contribution to any Team and project they have been involved in; their promotion can only bring further benefits for the Staff, the Site and the Community.</p>

Everyone here is in positions where they have shown themselves enough to justify promotion.</p> <p>I will add that heck_tech has been a very active member of Rewrite and has definitely brought a lot of life into the team. They have a great temperament, and are often at the forefront of site-wide improvements behind the scenes in staffcord&#8212; not to mention all their work on the Bright Works Project. They are truly wonderful, and I foresee a great tenure on staff for them. &#8212;<em>Nico</em></td> </tr> <tr> <td><strong>Optional areas of improvement:</strong></td> <td>I asked BD to tell me what they view as their own areas of improvement as an OS and this is what they said:<br /> <br /> <em>&quot;I feel I could definitely be taking the initiative more by implementing some of my proposed improvements and projects to the Data Analysis team. I feel I may be spinning a few too many plates and spreading myself too thin over other staff work which has left my work with CO slightly behind. I feel that I need to improve by having a stronger impact and presence on the team.&quot;</em><br /> <br /> Personally, I am inclined to agree a little with BD on the front that they probably have too many plates spinning at once, but they have been able to keep up the performance so far, and I have no reason to believe they won't in the future. Plus, the fact that they acknowledge this is good, and can potentially be a good point to reassess all their responsibilities; self appointed or not.</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="2"></td> </tr> </table> <table class="wiki-content-table"> <tr> <td><strong>Junior Staff Member:</strong></td> <td><span class="printuser avatarhover"><a href="http://www.wikidot.com/user:info/cerastes" ><img class="small" src="https://www.wikidot.com/avatar.php?userid=3352053&amp;amp;size=small&amp;amp;timestamp=1780271696" alt="Cerastes" style="background-image:url(https://www.wikidot.com/userkarma.php?u=3352053)" /></a><a href="http://www.wikidot.com/user:info/cerastes" >Cerastes</a></span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><strong>Captain/Team:</strong></td> <td>Licensing (<span class="printuser avatarhover"><a href="http://www.wikidot.com/user:info/naepic" ><img class="small" src="https://www.wikidot.com/avatar.php?userid=4463776&amp;amp;size=small&amp;amp;timestamp=1780271696" alt="Naepic" style="background-image:url(https://www.wikidot.com/userkarma.php?u=4463776)" /></a><a href="http://www.wikidot.com/user:info/naepic" >Naepic</a></span>)</td> </tr> <tr> <td><strong>Why:</strong></td> <td>Ever since his return to staff last year, Cerastes has been quietly plugging away at the backlog of licensing's License Boxing and tag clearing. It's not glorious or even visible work, but it is modest, honest, and much needed work, both former qualities he possesses in spades. &#8212;<em>Nico</em></td> </tr> <tr> <td><strong>Optional areas of improvement:</strong></td> <td>I asked Cerastes if he felt he had any shortcomings as it relates to staff or areas she felt he could/should improve. This is what he has to say:<br /> <br /> <em>&quot;I think my biggest weakness is my availability. I work 5 or so days a week, and usually i go to the gym in the mornings beforehand, so im usually only available for staffwork once or twice a week. i think that works okay for stuff like licensing where its mostly independent work, but for more collaborative staff projects that'd require daily communication it might be a bit tricky.&quot;</em><br /> <br /> I don't think having a healthy work-life balance is something we should hold against potential promotions candidates, so I don't think this is too big of an issue for Cerastes. There is the problem of only really being available for two days out of the week, but it's not the <em>biggest</em> problem, especially considering the work he does and the quantity.</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="2"></td> </tr> </table> <table class="wiki-content-table"> <tr> <td><strong>Junior Staff Member:</strong></td> <td><span class="printuser avatarhover"><a href="http://www.wikidot.com/user:info/heck-tech" ><img class="small" src="https://www.wikidot.com/avatar.php?userid=8911435&amp;amp;size=small&amp;amp;timestamp=1780271696" alt="Heck_Tech" style="background-image:url(https://www.wikidot.com/userkarma.php?u=8911435)" /></a><a href="http://www.wikidot.com/user:info/heck-tech" >Heck_Tech</a></span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><strong>Captain/Team:</strong></td> <td>MAST (<span class="printuser avatarhover"><a href="http://www.wikidot.com/user:info/deadly-bread" ><img class="small" src="https://www.wikidot.com/avatar.php?userid=3988532&amp;amp;size=small&amp;amp;timestamp=1780271696" alt="Deadly Bread" style="background-image:url(https://www.wikidot.com/userkarma.php?u=3988532)" /></a><a href="http://www.wikidot.com/user:info/deadly-bread" >Deadly Bread</a></span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><strong>Why:</strong></td> <td>Heck has been a powerhouse since he joined tagging and have been an absolute stand-out from the beginning. Both within MAST and outside of it, Heck is always providing useful input in staffing decisions and puts in the legwork far beyond what I could ever ask of him. He's always thinking ahead of what is best for the staffing team and, in a subteam where burnout is common, will always jump at the opportunity to help out whenever an issue is brought up or a question is asked. By far one of, if not our most active and consistent tagger, Heck would severely benefit from a promotion to open additional staffing opportunities he's expressed interest in and I believe he would more than excel at.</td> </tr> <tr> <td><strong>Optional areas of improvement:</strong></td> <td>N/A</td> </tr> </table> <table class="wiki-content-table"> <tr> <td><strong>Junior Staff Member:</strong></td> <td><span class="printuser avatarhover"><a href="http://www.wikidot.com/user:info/uncannyclown" ><img class="small" src="https://www.wikidot.com/avatar.php?userid=9189726&amp;amp;size=small&amp;amp;timestamp=1780271696" alt="UncannyClown" style="background-image:url(https://www.wikidot.com/userkarma.php?u=9189726)" /></a><a href="http://www.wikidot.com/user:info/uncannyclown" >UncannyClown</a></span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><strong>Captain/Team:</strong></td> <td>MAST (<span class="printuser avatarhover"><a href="http://www.wikidot.com/user:info/deadly-bread" ><img class="small" src="https://www.wikidot.com/avatar.php?userid=3988532&amp;amp;size=small&amp;amp;timestamp=1780271696" alt="Deadly Bread" style="background-image:url(https://www.wikidot.com/userkarma.php?u=3988532)" /></a><a href="http://www.wikidot.com/user:info/deadly-bread" >Deadly Bread</a></span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><strong>Why:</strong></td> <td>Uncanny is an extremely dedicated tagger who more often than not is the individual you'll be hearing from first if a question is asked in the MAST server. Always willing to throw her hat into the ring, he's consistently active both within an outside of MAST to assist with issues and pitch in to help out with a larger staff effort. Performing consistent quality tagging work and being an amazing resource for other staff and site users, he's a great member of staff who would benefit from a promotion.</td> </tr> <tr> <td><strong>Optional areas of improvement:</strong></td> <td>N/A</td> </tr> </table> <hr />
