So here's the plan. Either make a sandbox or use an existing one of yours for this, and note down which entries you'd change or which you'd delete and why. You can do this in whatever format you want; I prefer to copy/paste all entries from the source code that I wanna look over and use some formatting to note stuff down. When you're done, go ahead and PM me said sandbox so I can look it over and give the final okay. Then update the page with your changes and post in the discussion page stating what's been removed/changed and why.

MrWrong and lurkd still need to give me what they wanna do. Everyone else can get started!

• Log of Anomalous Items - Pruning will start at "A table with a circular area approximately 20 cm in diameter that remains at a constant 37°C, no matter the surrounding temperatures.". (I'm also going to contact Light about reorganization of the page, as requested by countless users.)
• Log of Extranormal Events - Pruning will start at "All 3██ attendees of Osceola, Tennessee's 3rd Annual Ribfest spontaneously and simultaneously lost consciousness for a period of forty-eight (48) seconds."
• Experiment Log 261 Ad De - Pruning will start at "Colonel Crone's Confession CandyTM Assorted Flavours".
• Experiment Log 914 - No idea where to start with pruning this, given its size and very limited staff intervention. The last time staff members stepped in to remove entries was back in 2013 when Clef removed stuff with the assistance of Roget and Echo. The final experiments on that were Dr. Disk's, so that might be a starting point. I think it'll be up to Dexanote on this one.
• SCP-978 Extended Test Logs - Cutoff entry here is also unclear, given how the page is organized. I'm gonna say Revision 181, with Crayne adding the "experiment" tag.
• SCP-1162 Extended Testing Log - Despite it being recently and frequently edited, there's actually not too many logs on here compared to the previous ones where I'd say it's fair game.
• Experiment Log 423 A - Mann is still around, but if the duty of pruning is given to anyone else, I'd say Revision 63 with Voct's touchup is where to start (with the last entry there being the "Secret of the Ninja" test).
• Experiment Log 447 A - If Clef is around and doesn't want to do it, Dexanote will do it. Same deal with 914 in that case, as I wouldn't really know where to begin.

There's nowhere to really archive them sensibly. They'll be kept in the edit history if needed to be grabbed.

Agreeing with this. Wasn't there one time on one of these logs a set of keycards that only opened doors to hotel rooms occupied by females younger than 18? We don't need that stuff kept anywhere on the mainsite.

About halfway through the logs it becomes very very apparent what can be cut. 914 and 682 have always has problems about this, and in the last couple years Extranormal Events has gotten pretty poor-idea-magnetty too. Archival is not really preferable to chopping blatantly bad and weighing redundant tests. The idea should not be "oh this is good execution", but instead "oh this is really creative and an original interpretation of the item's power".

I basically am here to ask for assistance in cleaning up these logs. Here are the logs with the most need in cleaning-up based on activity:

• SCP-978 Extended Test Logs - Voct
• SCP-1162 Extended Testing Log - MrWrong
• Experiment Log 423 A - Mann is ever vigilant and ever watchful.
• Experiment Log 447 A - Dexanote

The first four, I think, are the ones that'd give us the most work and difficulty and should have the most focus. 447 is Clef's, but with how busy he's been IRL, I don't know if leaving that to him would be good for him. 423 is Mann's, and if he does wanna do that for his that's okay. I only put those two here for posterity. Everything else I don't think is a worry due to little activity yet, although if anyone remembers something that should be here, feel free to let me know.¹

The main goal of this thread is to get some recruits who are willing to help out with these logs. Lemme know if you're willing and I can hit you up with some (fairly simple) details and instructions.

EDIT: For clarification, I'm asking here because it'd be nice to get help from people outside the rewrite team :)
