User responded:

This is my appeal.

As we all know AI detectors are extremely unreliable, as it can detect Human as AI. The style of writing that the central narrative is required to have, at least for my tests, triggers the detection, but at most 25%. I don't think that you would agree, but in my personal opinion, in most instances, usually not in SCP posts, AI refined is something that I am OK, I use it to a very small degree, as to make sure my ideas are communicated properly, but I never take it wors for word. As I personally believe that a large majority of people in general would agree with me about refining. And as another point that most people would agree, if the detection is over 50, and suspicion around 30, that's when you would accuse, because that is outside the margin of error for a human to do with purposely trying to write something that sounds like AI. So as my ban appeal, I spend months writing a central narrative, and at the very end I use an AI to make sure I communicate everything properly, which only changes like one or two words, and maybe a minor change in punctuation, I use it to make sure my ideas are communicated properly so I can get my green light.

That is my appeal.

Staff discussed the appeal, and consensus was to decline it. As such, the permanent ban remains in place. Myself, afto, and pr0m voting to decline. User has been PMed with the result; they may submit another appeal after one year. Sent back:

Staff have discussed your appeal, and the consensus was to decline it. I won't, but if I did, what would happen?

Sent back:

Sockpuppeting and attempted ban evasion are grounds for permanent bans on all accounts owned by the user in question.

Given that you already have had one appeal declined, any new bans issued would also push the next permitted appeal date back further.

User replied to the ban message with:

I would like to talk about my recent Forum post and my ban. I never saw the answer of why you thought it was AI, after you said something I put it in a detector and it read only 22, which is very little, 50 or more and then people usually start being suspicious. And I find it extra weird that you thought it was, the Forum style is very, predictable and structured, less chaos, and that's what detectors look for. This is my ban appeal, I mean no disrespect, and I have trouble conveying tone over text, so I mean no disrespect.

Responded:

Is this the entirety of the ban appeal you wish to submit to staff?

As a general note, staff do not use AI detectors to determine AI presence, as detectors are notoriously unreliable.

Central Narrative: When the existence of the infinite library was confirmed, one fascinating thing was observed. One of the researchers discovered a small, inconsequential book on their desk. It had The Archive of All That Was and Will Be written in dilapidated gold letters on the spine. There was no note or explanation, but a soft warmth radiated from its weathered cover. When the book was opened, it was a collection of short stories and poems—highly personal, but somehow comforting. A story of a quiet night spent close to a fire brought a peace that the investigator had not experienced in years. A poem of travels across endless skies brought a haunting sense of hope. No one knew how the book had arrived, but all suspected that it was a present from the Book Keeper, the mysterious roamer of the endless corridors, writing new worlds into existence. Increasing numbers of staff returned to the book in times of trouble, feeling its soothing comfort. The library itself appeared to expand, offering calm amidst the endless possibility. But beneath the ease was a hint that things are always in flux, always being reshaped by the Keeper's pencil—a reminder that the future is still unwritten and full of untold avenues. Hook/Attention-Grabber (Optional): In the stillness between moments, where time folds upon itself, something ancient stirs—a silent whisper bound within pages yet unread. Additional Notes (Optional): I want it to be unique enough, is it unique enough. I want this as a 001 proposal. This is supposed to be based on Library of Babel

Excerpts of note / compare sections of the same post:

Elevator Pitch: An infinitely large library with books that contain everything. it is home of the book keeper who writes and rewrites the books of reality. an endless maze of hexagonal bookshelves as far as the eyes can see books flying into spots on the shelves.

There was no note or explanation, but a soft warmth radiated from its weathered cover. However, all recorded instances—designated as “The Infinity Men”—universally respond to the name "Phoenix," though for different reasons. SCP-████ manifestations often appear midair before impact. To mitigate risks, designated manifestation zones are equipped with localized reality stabilization fields (RSFs) and Scranton Reality Anchors (SRAs). Upon containment, SCP-████ instances undergo multiversal signature analysis to confirm SCP-████ status. Recognizing their unique capabilities, the Foundation has established Mobile Task Force Omega-9 ("Eternal Reclaimers"), composed entirely of SCP-████ instances. The unit is led by an Infinity Man who was a high-ranking military general and consists of ten additional specialized Infinity Men. Despite their cooperation, all Omega-9 members remain susceptible to involuntary displacement. Routine multiversal recalibration sessions track their stability within baseline reality. --- Description: SCP-████ refers to a collective of individuals, each originating from a distinct reality, yet all fragments of a singular entity. These individuals are being pulled toward an unknown universe, suggesting SCP-████ is both the Infinity Men and the universe attempting to unite them. Shared Traits: All human SCP-████ instances share the following: An appearance of an 18-year-old male with messy, color-shifting hair: Brown under neutral conditions Red when clean and in direct light Black when wet or unkempt A height of 188 cm (6’2”) with a fluctuating weight A distinctive turtle necklace, composed of a black plant-fiber rope with an identical turtle-shaped charm across all instances An aromantic and asexual orientation An inability to control or predict their next displacement While most SCP-████ instances are human, at least one recorded manifestation has appeared as a lime-green arrow of unknown origin. Behavior & Abilities: SCP-████ instances do not willingly control their displacement and express frustration over their inability to remain in one reality. Despite different origins, each refers to themselves as "Phoenix." Several SCP-████ instances possess anomalous abilities or extraordinary expertise. SCP-████ instances demonstrate anomalous narrative awareness, with some referencing their existence as part of a structured reality or written document. One confirmed SCP-████ instance is the writer of this article. The Foundation has yet to determine the nature or purpose of the universe pulling them together. Notable SCP-████ Manifestations: Dr. René – Foundation-affiliated researcher, later confirmed to be SCP-████. The Pharaoh – A former ruler from an advanced theocratic civilization. The Warlock – A powerful spellcaster bound to a Phoenix patron. The Billionaire – An industrialist and weapons manufacturer. The Smartest Man Alive – Confirmed to be the most intelligent individual in his home universe. The Partial Cyborg – Augmented with unknown nanotechnology. The Explosives Expert – Specialized in demolitions, tactical breaching, and high-yield ordinance. The Chessmaster – A strategic genius, capable of predicting complex outcomes with unnerving accuracy. The Cartographer – Holds an encyclopedic knowledge of multiversal topography. The Wanderer – Appears to have spent centuries traveling dimensions before Foundation containment. The Judge – An enforcer of cosmic laws in his original universe. The One Who Never Was – Referenced in several SCP-████ accounts, yet no verifiable manifestation exists. The Author of This Article – The individual currently writing this document is confirmed to be SCP-████. (Further entries redacted.) --- Discovery: The first recorded SCP-████ instance was discovered when an unidentified male fell from the sky into a secured Foundation lab. Upon regaining consciousness, the subject displayed remarkable physiological and psychological similarities to Dr. René. Subsequent manifestations have followed an increasingly frequent pattern, suggesting the unknown universe may be accelerating its efforts to unite all SCP-████ instances. Multiversal residue analysis remains the primary method of confirming SCP-████ status. Current research suggests that an imminent large-scale event will occur once all instances converge in the unknown destination universe. --- Interview & Testing Procedures: Upon containment, SCP-████ instances undergo structured interviews to document their home reality, prior displacement events, and any insight into their condition. While most possess little information, recurring themes suggest an external force is actively compelling their displacement. Addendum ██-A: Personnel assigned to SCP-████ research are advised to report any spontaneous existential uncertainty, intrusive memories of alternate lives, or unexplained narrative inconsistencies in official documentation to the Department of Memetics & Reality Stability immediately. --- Mobile Task Force Omega-9 ("Eternal Reclaimers") Recognizing the unique capabilities of SCP-████ instances, the Foundation has established MTF Omega-9, composed entirely of Infinity Men. Command Structure: Commanding Officer: "Phoenix-Prime" – Military general, tactical strategist. Selected Operatives: "Phoenix-Aegis" – Master of defensive tactics and battlefield survival. "Phoenix-Nyx" – Espionage specialist, expert in stealth-based anomalous techniques. "Phoenix-Icarus" – Flight technology specialist, former test pilot. "Phoenix-Ember" – Fire-based anomalous physiology. "Phoenix-Sage" – Philosopher and multiversal historian. "Phoenix-Relay" – Capable of limited-range multiversal communication. "Phoenix-Warden" – Reality-anchor enforcer, deployed to SCP-████ stabilization projects. "Phoenix-Blast" – Explosives expert, demolitions and ordinance specialist. "Phoenix-Cipher" – Codebreaker, proficient in multiversal cryptography. "Phoenix-Horizon" – Specialist in cosmic navigation and extraplanar tracking. MTF Omega-9 Directives: Investigate multiversal anomalies related to SCP-████. Identify and locate additional Infinity Men. Assess potential threats originating from the unknown destination universe. Attempt controlled stabilization of SCP-████ instances within baseline reality. While MTF Omega-9 has proven highly effective in containment and reconnaissance operations, all members remain vulnerable to spontaneous displacement. A system of multiversal recalibration sessions has been implemented to track and analyze their stability within reality. Current Status: Active – High Priority Investigation Ongoing

Excerpts of note:

+ show block

– hide block

Item #: SCP-████

Object Class: Euclid

—-

Special Containment Procedures:

Due to SCP-████’s uncontrolled and unpredictable multiversal displacement, full containment remains unfeasible.
