The subject reappears in a muddy, trench-filled landscape resembling the Western Front of World War One. While wearing SCP-8813, subjects report being involuntarily conscripted into an ongoing large-scale conflict referred to as “La Guerre qui Continue” (“The War That Continues”). Termination within this battlefield results in the subject’s corpse reappearing at the exact location from which they vanished. Survivors often exhibit classic symptoms of PTSD, trench foot, mustard gas exposure, and untreated ballistic or bayonet injuries. Upon debriefing, subjects frequently describe anomalous phenomena, including but not limited to: Infantry formations composed entirely of skeletal figures in French and German WWI uniforms, communicating exclusively via Morse code. Bayonet charges led by commanding officers wearing gas masks fused with elongated avian skulls. A recurring, poorly mapped area known as “The Thirteenth Trench,” from which no subject has ever returned.
