We've determined it's not ban evasion, but it still seems like plagiarism. If you ask for someone to help you and they show you their draft as an example, and you wholesale lift that text and present it as your own without crediting the original writer at all…

I still feel like it merits some form of disciplinary response, especially given the "blame my friend for my lack of understanding how plagiarism works" excuse.

I don't think this is Acid Mind, because the account dates to before that. It's extremely likely that Acid Mind, being as clueless as they were, saved a draft with the Save Draft feature. It's happened multiple times before. I very doubt this person did it intentionally. This is as much as I said to Jekeled when he brought it up to me in chat. I don't think this is either ban evasion or plagiarism.

I'm now ready to rescind my previous opinion, but I would still like to state we not jump immediately to these conclusions until shown otherwise like here. Newbies, especially flailing newbies, have saved drafts in slots before with Wikidot's Save Draft function, and we had no idea about them until someone else digs them up and posts them by accident. We've seen it before. Next time let's at least cool off and wait a bit before jumping to any conclusions.
