Overall, I share the same thought process as everyone else. AriadnesThread has been incredibly good with the reform work and I think is very suitable for the position of overall captain, but obviously Rounderhouse is also a strong choice. Either way for them, it'll be a good pick.

Same applies with VC of Moderation, but I think Rounderhouse is the best first choice for this more niche role. Guaire is also a good option, and will give us timezone coverage.

VC of Documentation, I think I'm the best fit as I'm the most familiar with the process (or, at least, how I tend to do the process), but I have no issues with AriadnesThread taking the role either.

Overall, my ideal voting result consists of AriadnesThread as Captain, Rounderhouse and Guaire as VC of Moderation, and myself as VC of Documentation.

Ari and Rounder are both incredibly competent picks for the position, though my opinion tends towards Ari for captaincy for two main reasons: 1. Rounder generally has more experience and a more hard stance on Moderation, which makes him much more suitable for specific position of leading moderation, whereas Ari may not be fully comfortable in the position, and 2. Ari is among the most-liked moderators in the server (probably even more than myself), making her incredibly approachable if there's a complaint about the team. Regardless of the outcome of the vote, the team's gonna be in good hands; I trust both Rounder and Ari with the position wholeheartedly and am happy we have such capable leaders in a time where staff are drained of people to fill positions.

Divinephobia was an obvious choice for documentation, regardless of Ari's preoccupation with Captain/Vice-Captain.

Reasoning:

As Rounder said, I did nominate myself so as awkward as it feels to vote for myself for anything, it would be a little more awkward not to. That being said, I feel like I have a strong background in planning, mentoring, and delegating to teams for various needs, and am stronger in a position of general leadership rather than specialized. That being said, I'm happy to help in any way moving forward specifically because I believe the importance of the Discord as an entry point to the community cannot be overstated.

That being said, I feel like Rounder is a significantly stronger candidate for the VC of Moderation than I am, as he has more direct discord moderation experience than I do, especially in SCP spaces, as well as a significantly stronger 'voice' when shenanigans are afoot. I also feel like Div has done an outstanding job basically being the solo person committed to ensuring proper documentation standards are met, and while they haven't tackled the other issues that this subteam will be in charge of (specifically recruiting), none of us really have and I think they'll be outstanding in not only creating a solid framework for recruiting but something sustainable.

Regardless, I can't speak highly enough of everyone who was nominated, and rest pretty easy in the knowledge that we're on the right track forward with this team!

I don't usually commentate my votes, but it feels like it would be improper not to do so here, given I kind of have to vote if I want to vote on the other candidates for all positions.

CAP: Disclaimer: Ari is a great friend and a fantastic candidate for captain. No matter which one of us gets picked, the Discord team will be in very, very good hands. I am putting myself in number 1 because, well, I did nominate myself, and as mentioned there, I think my wealth of moderation leadership experience in SCP spaces like SCPD and 19cord since its creation will be incredibly useful here. I've built a staff team on WL where none existed beforehand, and my experience mentoring that team into a position of self-sufficiency and growing a healthy community is particularly applicable to 19cord, I think.

But it would also be dumb of me to pretend I'm a perfect candidate; I do make mistakes sometimes, and I do have a tendency to go forceful where Ari might choose gentle. I don't think these are bad traits in a captain within reason, and I like to think that I've made some pretty good strides over time towards squashing those habits in favor of more reasoned handling. If I did get captain, it'd be with cognizance of those traits, and closely conferring with Ari as my ModVC to ensure we're working as a team and that both of us are making the right calls.

VICECAP: This feels mostly redundant to the last one, but I'd pick Ari over Guaire as ViceCap of Moderation. Guaire is a good moderator, but has had consistent trouble waiting for input from the team before taking unilateral action like permabans or kicks — sometimes that's okay, like in a clear case of trolling, other times it's not okay, and I've asserted as much to him. None of this is a surprise, and it's not indicative of bad character — it's just a sign that someone needs to be a moderator a little bit longer before they really get the expectations of that role, which are a core requirement of whoever's gonna be running the subteam. Given there are two mod VCs, I think Guiare will end up becoming one of them regardless, which is fine; I think Ari has an incredibly canny and good understanding of the role, and having her in a counterbalancing position would be a good setup for both of them.

DOC: I think Div has been handling the load of this task for a very, very long time, and understands better than anyone else the primary struggles associated with it. It's more logical to put them in charge and let them recruit people who they find are similarly good fits, rather than putting someone not as familiar with the task above them and letting them continue to struggle. I think the doc team needs to expand, and that's better done with Div in charge.

Rounderhouse has the dedication and experience to captain this team. He’s experienced all levels of authority between the SCP Wiki, Wanderers Library, SCPD, and 19cord.

Ari is a great candidate as well, and I’d be happy with either of them as captain. My perspective is based solely on the qualifications listed above.

The Discord Team Restructure has passed, and candidates have been decided upon for voting.

• The vote will be open to Administrators and all of the Discord Team - including Junior Staff.

• In this vote we use ranked choice voting for each position.
• The Captaincy vote will be counted first, and if someone receives it they will be eliminated as a candidate from all VC votes.
• Two VCs will be chosen for the Moderation Subteam. If another is needed the captain may appoint them.
• One VC will be chosen for the Documentation Subteam.
• There will be no vote for the Bot and Automation Subteam. Yossi will be VC of this subteam.
• Before the results are finalized if someone has won multiple votes they may choose to select one VC position to occupy and remove themselves as a candidate from the other poll, but they are not required to do so.
• In the event that there are fewer candidates than open positions for VC, the newly appointed Captain will be responsible for filling these positions.
