Proxy posting fails: 5-13

I would be for rules on proxy posting in general, because it would put things like the peanut gallery under existing site rules, but it first needs to be more clarified on how it interacts with existing site rules for that.

My vote for yes comes with the stipulation that the issue regarding AI art will be finished by the time this has been implemented.

I am wholly against any proxy posting. As stormfallen pointed out, it's clearly against our standing site rules.

With the removal of proxy posting, I am okay with the policy. Even if we decide to allow AI generated images, we should not count those as the creation of the poster.

We need to wait until the current processes regarding AI art get cemented and finalized. Otherwise we are putting cart before horse.

As for proxy art posting: I want clarification that when it talks about "explicit written permission" that written permission includes a release that the art is being licensed under CC BY-SA 3.0. Once again I am at a wonder why Licensing was not consulted on this.

If this does pass, I still recommend an AI art thread as an alternative.

Edited to note: while I did not receive a rebuttal (aside from 1 approval of the AI thread) to my original reasoning, I'm still open to changing my vote if people answer the question posed (though probably shouldn't be in this thread, and the discussion thread is concluded)

It doesn't make sense to me to enact this without enacting similar restrictions on written works. The second item is in direct contradiction to the Collaborative Posting section of the site rules, which despite lots of arguments about, has yet to be changed.

Should we add the following text to the rules on creating art pages:

"All art pages must be primarily created by the poster and as such cannot be works you commissioned (as in someone else made the work for you) or AI generated work. However if you are not the artist you can post on behalf of the artist with explicit written permission ."
