No, because, you've marked it as creation of art-related pages. If all the modules were merged into one, I'd probably be fine with it, but semantically a generic create page box is good for a catch-all net for this set up (I know all the create page does the same thing without a category attribute setting, but that's just bad UX design)

We would need to write those guides first! Currently that's all on the SCP-International Hub, I'm worried that a shorter version of it on Contribute would only cause confusion.

The list just being a space-filler was honestly part of my problem with it. That's annual effort for something that doesn't matter. Happy to see it leave.

I'd prefer removing the series list from "SCP Articles" entirely. The formatting for it is off on the current page, and we'll have to deal with the list growing every year. And the list is already there on the sidebar.

I am considering doing that and just seeing if anyone complains, but I don't really care as long as the page is functional. I never use it.

Removing the "How to" part and just making it a "create page" box below some links would be a different proposal, and I suspect it would be more controversial.

I really think we should remove the four boxes at the bottom *outright*.

Like… why in god’s name are we explaining what an SCP and a tale are? This is not the place, nor does it do it very well. The guide for writing does it better, and it’s already linked at the top.

This is better, and I do get why to put a separate artwork bubble, but I still think we can improve on that front.

I'm requesting permission to replace the current Contribute page with a new version that I've written up here, because the current formatting is broken and doesn't ever mention GoI formats or Artwork, despite those making up a significant proportion of the site's content. I guess I'm primarily motivated by the fact that adding the eighth SCP series completely garbled the layout, it didn't seem worth fixing that without also correcting the other stuff, and suddenly it counts as major revisions worthy of an O5 thread.

Changes include:

Removing significant whitespace that poor formatting introduces.
Moving the Guides and Essays advice to the top.
Mentioning the fact that GoI formats exist, linking relevant pages.
Removing the "create generic page" button since the Tales one already does that, and is presented as such.
Adding a little more on collaboration pages.
Adding a brief bit on Artist and Artwork pages, since that feels more relevant than mentioning the fact that canons exist.

Since we're currently discussing whether to feature the Contribute page more prominently in the sidebar, I figure this warrants sorting out soon. Open to suggestions for changes to the wording, I don't think How to Contribute needs to be too fancy, but it would be nice to make some minor improvements. If there are no objections, I'll implement this after a week.
