Repeating the same sentiments as last time- the people interested in the charter are working on it, the freeze has only kneecapped us and prevented us from getting some work done.

My thoughts are consistent with Conwell's points.

Don't see any viable or major reason why we should freeze for any longer than we have currently. The charter's coming well along enough.

why are we still doing this

a staggering zero charter related 05 threads have been posted in the supposedly essential freeze that we've had going on for the last 14 days. i hope this is enough to show that all it's doing is hindering staff

Given we now have two dedicated teams hammering out the charter, and I am still of the opinion new policy can be slotted into the policy tree with/or without amendments, I think the freeze has outlived its usefulness.

Once again, so that we do not have a weird gray zone as this vote completes, I am starting it seven days beforehand. This way we will have our answer on the day of the extension's end date.

Per feedback/consensus from Staff Chat, the vote will be a simple binary of 0-day extension vs 14-day extension.
