  • Articles marked deleted:scp-XXXX may no longer be edited, renamed, or have files added.
  • Upon articles being renamed using a GUID, articles will be held for 48 hours under this new URL before hard deletion.

Additionally, the following changes have been made to the Deletions Guide on the SCP Wiki:

  • Pages hitting the deletion threshold will still be deleted by staff as normal, with the addition of the renaming workaround.
  • Authors cannot manually run a complete self-delete of an article. Instead, they will soft delete it (ie renaming the article so that it is deleted:scp-XXXX)
  • Staff will run these deletions, no questions asked, so as to preserve author autonomy.

Has been changed to:

The original "Self-Deletion" section has been placed in a collapsible.

Authors may mark an article for self-deletion by clicking "Options" at the bottom of the page, and clicking "Delete." This will move the article to the deleted:scp-XXXX category. Once moved here, articles may no longer be edited, renamed, or have files added. Staff will then delete the article with the next round of deletions.
