That page is clearly under staff purview, so we could if we wanted. In general we avoid deletions because in Wikidot they're irreversible, and I suppose I don't see what demands deletion in the case of this guide vs archival.

We can't really delete that page without getting the author's permission, which would almost definitely be more trouble than it's worth if it was even possible at all. This guide doesn't have that issue.

We haven't deleted old pages like Euclid so I don't see why we'd delete this rather than just archiving.

Confirming what others have said that I can't recall anyone joining #site17 with login issues since the HTTPS change went out. Supporting on that notion.

In March of 2020, due to changes being rolled out by major browser vendors, logins on Wikidot broke on custom domains, a consequence of of the way that Wikidot issues cookies.

The Technical Team looked into the issue, explored possible workarounds, and as part of that work, created the Fixing Logins guide to be a single resource for users. We took steps to minimize this issue, such as redirecting our custom domains to scp-wiki.wikidot.com, and more recently, auto-redirecting to HTTPS.

Since then, we have not had complaints regarding failures to log in. Because the recommended mitigations are now done automatically, we feel the guide is now obsolete and should be archived.
