Attribute Tag: Attribute tags have a higher expectation of applicable articles in order to be considered. The tag must cover a minimum of 15 articles by 3 authors, and it must also be distinct enough to the point where another existing tag, or combination of tags would not cover the articles in question.

'must cover enough articles that it would warrant a tag' is kinda vague about whether that's e.g. "10 articles" or "100 articles"; I don't believe we have an official number for this but it might be worth indicating a general estimate?

The MAST Guide Rewrite team is proposing a total rewrite of the official guide on tagging, which is currently "Tag Guide". MAST staffer Vivarium has proposed the following page to replace the old one: A Laymen's Guide to Tagging. The new page is a complete overhaul of the original and is slated to be posted as a new page, tagged as a guide, and added to the guide hub in the place of the old essay.

This thread is intended to give staff the opportunity to voice concerns and offer suggestions regarding the proposed changes.
