However, their behavior wasn't necessarily rulebreaking until a sequence of events occurred that resulted in them lying to operators several times.

Immediately after this, I warned them via .tell not to botspam in main, but to use PMs with Helen instead. The next day, the following happened.

The user did not return that day, but did this morning. During this time, chat operators were in discussion about whether or not their behavior constituted a ban. Part of the discussion included Cover's assertion that they were, in fact, 21. When I got to a point where I had the time to do so, I challenged them in #site17 about their manifestly untrue statements, where they doubled down.

After discussion, it was decided that their repeated falsehoods and general behavior merited a longer punitive action than a single week. Thus, they've been banned for a year for general immaturity.
