We both know what happened on the IRC 1-2 months ago. But I haven't told you why.

I did it because, upon first glance to the Site19 channel, I thought it could be used the way a live game chat could be used. In other words, I thought I could spew nonsense in the chat and that would be okay. We both know how that turned out. I used that reason to spew what I spewed in the chat for those few days, excluding the copypasta, which was accidental.

As a staff member and captain of a review team, I am obligated to be forthright with the community. You are responsible for your actions, and you yourself need to make it clear to the community that you have improved, rather than insisting that people simply never mention the issue ever again.

It's very hit or miss. For me, it missed.

Kind of questionable since it's basically encouraging another newbie's vent thread, and doesn't really indicate that the user is holding themselves accountable for their actions (or connecting that with reviewers not being particularly inclined to help someone who exhibits such behavior).

And when I asked a trusted person to bump it for me, I waited three days for him to eventually say he wouldn't do it.

If I want to keep the thread alive, I'm not left with much of a choice here.

The thread in question was about a day old, and they'd already gotten feedback on it.

In the interest of full disclosure, I personally found this kind of abrupt and rude given their previous behavior (also, looks like they're trying to bypass the greenlighting process). I sent back a reply stating I was not interested in reviewing the material, and to please ask someone else.
