The changes are as follows:

• The category formerly called Announcements has been renamed to Sitewide Announcements.
• A new category has been created, titled Page Announcements. This category contains six threads: the announcement threads for SCPs, Tales, GoI Formats, Deletions, Page Updates and Miscellaneous Page Announcements.
• Another new category has been created, this one titled Staff Recruitment. This category is for staff teams to post recruitment threads for new Junior Staff members.

These changes would have meant the "Site Announcements and Proposals" forum group would have contained eight categories, which would have been unwieldly. As such, "Site Announcements and Proposals" has been split into two forum groups:

1. One continuing to use the original name, containing Sitewide Announcements, Page Announcements, Proposals and Policy and Introductions.
2. A second titled "Staff Processes", containing Staff Policy Discussions, Staff Discussion Records, Staff Recruitment and Town Halls.

These changes are purely organizational and made to better manage the presentation of content, and make it easier to find relevant threads.

We will likely be moved old Page Announcements out of the Archived Category and into Page Announcements, keeping the most recent versions pinned and allowing others to sink, as is currently done in the Introductions forum. This will happen over the next few days or weeks, as it is not urgent.

As context, there is existing precedent for team-based cease-and-desist actions, for site functions like tagging (if someone repeatedly tags pages incorrectly) and giving forum critique (if someone repeatedly gives problematic, misleading, and/or overly vehement feedback). I don't think these were documented straightforwardly though, since they just sort of emerged as standard practice when staff handled multiple cleanups pertaining to the same individuals.

As this is a team-focused change, I am putting the thread in this category for now. Similar to how previous forum changes were introduced and implemented:

For established authors, it is after they have posted helpful feedback on mainsite discussion threads, requested staff to look over the posts, and staff consensus is to let them post forum critique again.)

2. How should staff respond if the author ignores the C&D?

3. Are there any further questions/concerns to address before this becomes standard practice for Forum Crit moving forward?

So far we have one commander listed. I would like to get at least two more commanders for June.

Thus far I am quite pleased with opening up commanderships to greenlighters in general, rather than having it be a staff-only mentorship setup!

I think it would be reasonable to continue allowing commander signups to include the whole of the SCP wiki. The current criteria for prospective commanders (have greenlighting privileges) seems solid, though I would append that all commanders should confirm their officer names with me before offering to mentor them.

I will be leading a Flight for the 2nd half of the month. I would like to get at least two more commanders for March.

This is the first time we're opening commander signups to non-staff site members! Thus far, the only criteria necessary for prospective commanders is that they have greenlighting privileges.

Staff are by all means still welcome to volunteer as mentors/commanders; however, I will try to give priority to non-staff who would like to give Flight commanding a try.

I am interested in opening up the mentoring system to Butterfly Squad Roster reviewers, successful flight officers, and potentially other individuals who have demonstrated solid review skills who are interested in giving Flights a try.

ETA: noting that I will take one officer for Flight 2.

Our goal here is to find and fix dead links. A good chunk of these will be pages that no longer exist, and an equally big chunk will be on the Site News pages. Some of these will be articles that were moved/re-titled. Others will be pages that have not been created. In regards to these two categories, if you cannot find a record of deletion in the deletion threads, PM the author, if they are still present, and inquire whether or not this was an intentional dead link for narrative purposes or if they had renamed the page, assuming you aren't already aware of it being renamed.

When does the above not apply? When an author is including deadlinks on their page as part of a tale series where they are leaving an open link to the next entry. Offer to remove the deadlink or replace it with the element I will discuss next. On Site News pages, pages that are using a dead-link for narrative purposes, or tale series replace the broken link with a [[a class="newpage" href="#"]][[/a]] which should look like SCP-XXX. In regards to link removal, simply remove the triple brackets around the item to preserve the content of the page.

As far as reporting the broken links goes, we want to document a number of things:

• Where the deadlink was (article link).
• Who the deleted/moved page was created by (If attainable).
• What type of page the broken link went to (Tale, SCP, other?)
• How was the deadlink created? (Typo, page deleted, page moved and link not changed)
• How the link was fixed (Link removed, fixed, or replaced)? Link to the moved article if available.

The link to our google doc with the full list of deadlinks is available to anyone in the MAST discord.

As an example of the reporting standards I will do one link from the first page of links.

• This workbench had a link to a tale by Kain Pathos Crow titled "21st - 30th November 2008". The link was created by a deletion of the tale, and the link has been removed.

Obviously for dead-links where multiple different pages link to an absent page, report all the pages that were altered. All reporting should be done in this thread.
