Hello everyone. I will make this brief.

I am stepping down from Internet Outreach Captain, as I have been relatively inactive in the position, and my life circumstances are pushing me further offline. I will still remain a member of the team for the foreseeable future, just not in a leadership capacity.

I am promoting pr0m37h3um to Captain in my place. I have full faith and confidence in her to fulfill the duties bestowed upon the team.

Hi.

I’ve been less active on staff for awhile, and it started last October. For the past 5 or so months, I’ve been low key active, and have been doing things such as the occasional moth squad and butterfly squad critique (even though that isn’t staff work) and have been contributing to the site news here and there, and occasionally voting on staff matters.

My inactivity can be explained by a lot of things, but I’ll keep it simple and say: lack of motivation, chronic illness. But my motivation is coming back, so I’m hoping to show my face around here full time again for now, while still balancing my other hobbies.

I hope to be of help on my staff teams and any other areas I can be once again.

After some discussion with aismallard, I'm returning to the active roster. I intend to stay out of ongoing projects and matters that I'm not up to speed on, such as the Bright Works project, but otherwise we're gonna give it a try. I have some technical things I want to try to implement for the wiki and for staff as part of my own professional development and it makes more sense to do them as an active member. Please reinstate my permissions here and on the wiki proper.

Hello everyone!

I have decided to go ahead and retire from my position on the staff team. During my time, I have incredibly enjoyed the work and appreciated the many friends I have made along the way. Whether it was a site restructure, team renaissance, or contest preparation, my time with the SCP Wiki staff has been a wonderful experience in which I will be forever grateful.

Certainly, my early days as staff were more action packed whereas the last couple of years have largely been my input on things here and there from behind the scenes. I am happy to say that Naepic is a very worthy successor for CO and has made me incredibly proud as we have worked together. As life goes on, I have other pursuits in my life that I am excited to take on, so now is the time step down.

Thank you all for the wild ride and good luck on all of your future endeavors!

Nico will be taking my place as site news header, and the rest of the site news team will be assuming most of my duties. I'll be going on a hiatus for a good while! Until about mid December, which is when I will (hopefully (if I don't suck real bad)) be finishing my welding certification.

Just had one of the roughest months of my life — I can't talk about most of it. (Big social rifts, plans going south, __ , _ , finals.)
Made me realise it would do me very, very, very good to disconnect from this community for a bit.
It pains me a lot that I needed to retire since I had a bunch of plans, and I'm very emotionally attached to this community.
I'd had a lot of people worrying about me, and for that I apologize.
I have a lot of love for people on here, but I learnt the hard way I really need a break right now, and even if I come back I might not stick around forever.
So I thought I should heal by making the people I've come to love part of me, by adopting their healthy coping mechanisms and moving forward with my life!!
I am going to cook dinner tonight and watch Baby Reindeer with my dad, and tomorrow I'll maybe draw something I won't show anybody else and go for a run.
If all this goes well and what I wanted to do on Staff still weighs on my mind I'll come back next year…?

That was a lot of yap just to say I'm retiring! Byeee!

Obviously I should've gotten around to doing this a long, long, time ago and it's pretty obvious to anyone whose noticed my complete lack of activity staff-wise, but I'm resigning from staff.
